Party Time, Excellent, Wee ooo wee ooo wee ooo

Thats from Wayne's World if you didn't know :)
Yes my birthday was this week, and yes it was a good one. A real good one in fact.
We started the celebrating the night before out on the lake. Our friends from our ward were nice enough to take us out. This was the first time we'd been boating out here in Colorado! Let's just talk a minute about the lack of lakes here. There are basically two you can take boats out on in this region and they are teeeeeeny. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded when we went so it was actually pretty nice.
we were a little rusty on our wake boarding/surfing skills since we haven't done it in a few years. Well, I was rusty, or maybe just timid, but Kevin sure tore it up.

Calum was a little nervous to get on the boat at first, and he didn't love it when we went fast and it got bumpy. But all and all I think they had fun.

Isn't this girl just so cute in her life jacket?

Calum and Ailee really liked watching us wakeboard and what not. They wouldn't take their eyes off us. It was pretty darn cute.

Kevin, driving the boat/posting on Instagram. Hahaha

On my actual birthday we went up camping at Wellington Lake. It's a private lake only about an hour from us and it was pretty awesome. But more on that in a bit. We were a little nervous because it looked like it was going to be a little rainy, but the birthday fates smiled on us and we had stellar weather the whole time we were there. We set up camp, had dinner, cobbler and brownies. We had mallows to roast but who wants to do that when you have cobbler and brownies?? It was a good night. We hung out by the campfire til late. Ailee didn't wake up once in the night!! She was a champion. The rest of us slept about as well as you usually do camping. You're a little cold, a little uncomfortable. You know the drill.

We rented paddle boards for the day. So the next morning we each got a turn to take them out. It was so fun and not to mention beautiful up there!!

Calum and Ailee even got a turn, and no one went swimming! Calum was even brave and helped paddle and stood up for a bit. Kevin and me want paddle boards now in addition to our future ski boat. Haha.

The kiddos were cute, running around and getting dirty.

Calum and Thomas really liked climbing all over the paddle boards, then they eventually just got in the water. Hahaha.

Nicole trying to keep the babies from eating dirt. Haha.

Helping me pack up the tent.

The crew minus the Wards. They peaked out before our group pic :)

We headed back home, cleaned up and went to get my free meal at Merles in downtown Littleton. Littleton is the bomb.

The only downer to my birthday was that my license expired so I had to go finally get a Colorado license. Haha.

But otherwise my birthday was the Bee's knees.
The rest of the week was grand as ever. Calum found new ways to accessorize. Clockwise: Te pirate patch, fishing waders, "These are my rocket flip flops, I got them from at Costco," and his undie hanger.

This kid is a nut, always something new. Today he found Kevin's old ninja turtle costume and he was pretty stoked.

Ailee wrote a letter to her cousin.

Kevin ate some mold!

Ailee ate everything else.
I mean look at this pile of food... devoured it.

Then she threw her plate because thats what she does.

How cute is this plate?

I went to a pretty great baby shower. Haha

Calum and Ailee have been playing with each other more and more. It is so fun.

But they have the most fun when daddy plays with them.

I think Ailee is dropping her morning nap, so that is kind of nice, and she takes one loooong afternoon one. She is so fun to snuggle. Calum was done snuggling right when he realized he could move. It's so nice to have a snuggler. And then there's both of my kids asleep as I toted them around Joann's. Hahaha. He can't be comfortable. I wish I could sleep while I ran errands. Someone needs to invent a way to do that! Get on it OK?
