Birthday Week

My birthday was this week so of course there were festivities all week long. On my actual birthday, Kevin pretended to leave for work at the usual crack of dawn. But instead of going to work he went and got me a maple bar and hung out with me the whole day!

I wanted to go on a bike ride for my birthday so we went on a 12 mile ride up the Platte River. Kind of far for someone who hasn't really been riding recently. Calum wasn't very happy and we couldn't figure out why for the longest time. Then I saw that he had a pile of dirt in his lap and realized that Kevin was kicking dirt up into the trailer, we put the cover on and he was happy as a clam the rest of the way. We are so dumb, I felt so bad!

It's so fun being in Young Womens. We had a BBQ at this private lake this week. It was so fun and so pretty. Calum had a ball playing on the sandy beach.

Calum is still such a good helper. Haha.

Who's he calling this time?

We made a fort this week and Calum could not stop giggling about it. Whether he was inside of it or on top of it he thought it was so funny! Cute kid.

We watched Calum's girlfriend this week. She slept the whole time she was there and Calum kept trying to go back and wake her up so I had to put up a barricade. He was trying so hard to figure out how to get past it. He tried crawling under, climbing over, and squeezing between. After multiple attempts he finally gave up and let her sleep peacefully.

It was little Aimsley's birthday this week too. The babies played while the mommies got stuff ready.

Michelle went all out on the decorations it was so fun!

We went swimming and had a belly flop contest (I think they just wanted to see the master in action. Haha) Just kidding, all of the contestants had some pretty sweet moves :)

Riding the train (my first time!) headed to Elitch Garden's for my birthday.

Calum loved all the rides even though most of the time he had a very solemn look on his face. It cracked us up!

The Van-Foulgers came too :)

We joked that we would stay the whole day, and then we really ended up staying the whole day. Calum took a nap in the stroller and was happy the rest of the time. We swapped the babies and rode roller coasters and went down water slides. It was quite the party.

Nose picker.

Finished out the week with some friends and a pan of brownies. Happy Birthday to me :)

Foulger Frenzy

Calum got to play with his buddy Aimsley a whole lot this week. They swam, hiked, camped and even learned to make meal plans together. If they weren't distant cousin's I might say they were in love :)

Kevin's first day of school. Haha.
That's right, it's official, Kevin is once again a student. Hoping to bust out his masters in two years. He was surprisingly excited about his first day back :)

We went on another camping adventure this weekend. Up Webster Pass. The traffic sucked and the boulder's in the road were brutal, but the company was awesome and the view was definitely worth the drive.

Plus I got this sweet pic in the grand town of Montezuma!!

I am going to deem this trip the Forgetful Campout. Everybody forgot stuff; paper plates, camp chairs, a tent!! This list went on and on. You'd think we'd never done this before. But we shared and made due with what we had and had a good time.

Aimsley's cute dirty face. Haha :)

We drove/hiked up to Red Cone Mountain.

Aimsley's face cracks me up here!

Making her move.

Playing Poor Man's Skeet with the babies on their backs. Haha.

On our way home we stopped into Keystone to check out the sights and try and find a pool, with no success.

The kids played in the sandbox

While the adults played Jenga!!

Look at Michelle's excited face as the tower crumbles at the hands of Kevin!

Jenga! Jenga! Jenga!

Lately Calum has loved to dance. Anytime, music comes on he starts to jam out. Even on Sunday while singing "If you could Hie to Kolob." It was no different in Keystone when we happened upon the Bluegrass Festival.

And then run away at the end. He likes to do that too. Thinks it's funny when we chase after him. Not a good thing!

On the windy drive home, Calum was hungry and I didn't want to keep turning around to feed him, so I let him feed himself a peanut butter and honey sandwich... This was the result.

Huge bites, major stickiness and then finally putting the sandwich in his shorts. What else did I expect, really?
