Grrr, I hate it when I get behind. Even if it's just a couple days. I feel like I had way more pictures to go through, and it always seems so daunting. But I got it done so here ya go.
Kevin's been planting all this week and last week so of course we had to get in on the action. Calum loved digging for worms and kept asking if we could go back. I think we've gone and helped three different nights! Calum seriously loves digging in the dirt. I mean of course he does. Way too fun. Kevin for sure wins the coolest job award in Calum's book.
Ailee liked checking out the flowers and eating the grass :)
I forgot to mention last week that Ailee is officially 9 months! Can you believe it?? I just could not decided between these pictures so you get them all.
Ailee had her check up and was 18lbs 14oz (63%) and 27 3/4inches (56%). So she is leveling out a little bit which is seriously exactly what Calum did.
I made her this little bunting for her nine month birthday. Not really, but I did make it for her and I love it.
I'm pretty bummed though. My milk supply is starting to dwindle so I've had to start supplementing with formula. Darn it, I was shooting to nurse her for a year. Bummer. Ailee has also started not going to bed very well. It started when she got her earache. Since then she's been having to be rocked or nursed to sleep. It's so hard. Especially during the day. Sometime it takes me like an hour to rock her to sleep and then she'll only sleep for like 40 minutes. It gets a little frustrating. Hoping she'll get back into the groove soon.
She has been loving food these days and eats anything she can gum down. (The celery, not so much, but how bout this handful of icing she snagged off my cake at our friends birthday party!)
She has figured up how to pull her self up, and her new favorite toy is her carseat.
I sure love this girl. Can't believe she is getting so big!
This kid just warms my heart. We had to take him to the urologist this morning for a follow up appointment. It's pretty far away and his appointment was early so we were fighting traffic to get there on time, and what happens??? Calum throws up in his carseat. (I think sometimes if he eats too much early in the morning he feels yucky. I always do. He's done this a couple times whenever he's up early and eats too much. He'll throw up and then be totally fine after. So weird) So I had to pull over and clean him and the car seat up and change him into this awesome all grey get up, cause that's all I had. Luckily we made it to his appointment. He did so great while they did an ultrasound on his belly. He was being such a good listener. One of the nurses checked his temperature in his ear and asked Calum, "Are there monkeys in your ear?" Calum replies, "No, the monkeys are at the zoo." HaHa. So we still aren't in the clear I guess with his urethra issues. His stream isn't as strong as I guess it should be, so they want to run some more tests in like 6 months to make sure his bladder is working properly and that there is no scar tissue getting in the way of things. So I guess we will just wait and see. The good news at least is that his kidneys look great and he is emptying his bladder completely. So no major problems that need to be addressed. So that is good.
I think Kevin working late so much has really concerned Calum. I told him, "Dad will be home later." and he says, "Can I keep him? I love dad." Another day he tells me, "Dad wants to come home and live with us. He doesn't want to live at the temple." And when I told him we were going to go to the Rockies game he said, "Dad, wants to come." Basically we are ready for all the plants at the temple to be planted so we can have our dad back. Haha.
Found Calum trying to overflow the sink with bubbles. Luckily I caught him just as it was about to spill out.
Of course toilet paper rolls are boxing gloves.
When we went to the birthday party, Calum's main concern was what type of cake we were going to have. "Cherry Sausage??" Why he thinks that would be a good kind of cake beats me.
There's a little stream at the park where the party was at. It was freezing. But Calum dropped a little piece of foam in the water and got in the stream and starting chasing it down. By the time Kevin caught up to him, Calum was crying, because it was dang cold and he couldn't get the foam piece. Also, he is peeing in this picture. Haha. I didn't realize it and Kevin just told me. How could this kid have peeing problems he pees everywhere all the time!
Sharing his sucker with this little strawberry blonde girl. Ailee was crying the other night when Calum and her were going to bed and Calum growls at her, "I don't like that noise Aiy!" Haha. But they love each other. Enough to share there suckers with each other.
Ailee made it to her first Rockie's game. Calum had a ball of course. "Best Day Ever" he called it, (but he says that a lot. Haha) He was cheering them on, singing the songs, clapping his hands and even heckling a little bit. He is seriously the cutest. I should have filmed him.
The best picture I got of him and his buddy Lincoln. Haha.
Pretty pumped on his treats.
I never know what I'm going to get these days. In response to me asking Calum to pick up his toys, I could get an, "Aiy, Aiy, Captain mom." a random, "Do you know I love you? You're strong." Or I could get an, "I can't believe this!" Followed by a half hour of pouting an him trying to reason with me that I am so good at picking up his toys, so I should do it. How old is he?? Oh the joys of motherhood.
