Who Done it?

I got the urge to throw a murder mystery party. It was kind of last minute but I think it turned out. I had fun decorating. My sister came and helped me set up the night before.

The prints are from the Caravan shoppe. They make me happy.

I made these pumpkins using this tutorial. Kelli and me made these signs to put by the food people brought.

   We were going to play a game as people got there, so I asked my mom to come answer the door for me. The game didn't happen, but she was definitely our entertainment while we waited for all our guests. She is hilarious.  I guess my kids were scared of her when they saw her... Halloween might be an adventure.

My character was Miss Peach. I found this top at the Goodwill. It was attached to a blue skirt that I unstitched and wore this pink dress under it. I had so much fun talking in a southern accent all night :) I would introduce myself as part southern belle and part hillbilly. It was really fun :)

 Kevin was Captain Brown, a lowly seaman. He was hilarious and would say things like "Aye Lassie."

 How funny are these pants.

We didn't figure out who the murderer was but we sure had fun playing our parts :)

It was super fun. I loved everyones costumes and seeing them play their characters. Too fun. We also played Adams family and Dave sang a solo of Cats in the Cradle. I think it was the highlight of the night :) So grateful for fun friends and spur of the moment parties :) 

My friends cat followed her to our house. It snuck in our house twice. We had to chase it out from under our bed. This was it trying to get in again. Haha. Crazy cat. 

Sunday snuggles.

 Calum and Ailee were eating a frozen go-gurt in the foyer at church.  It was cold, luckily I had a pair of mittens for them to hold it with haha. Also apologizes to whoever has to clean the windows this week. Haha.

It was the primary program. Calum said his part awesome, "I know my savior loves because he's my best friend." (The sunbeams all got to tell how they knew their savior loved them. It was pretty cute. One boy said because he gave him tomatoes and that he looooved tomatoes.)  Calum's class was standing right by the microphone when they sang. Calum did grab the mic during one of the songs and say "gaga" into it. Kelli is the primary president and so she was right there. She grabbed him and whispered in his ear that she had cookies for them but he could only have one if he didn't touch the microphone again. Haha. He was good after that. Although I guess he did keep talking about boogers pretty loudly during the rest of the programs. Gosh. What a nut. He decided that he wants to be this ninja for halloween. I kept trying to convince him to be something else so our family could all be the Aladin characters or Kung Fu Panda characters. He wouldn't cave. He wanted to be store bought ninja. Maybe next year.

Playing in "crunchy leaves." Ailee kept saying that over and over. Ailee also calls everything little baby. It's pretty cute.

Calum is getting better at making his bed although he did forget to put the quilt on. haha.

The other day he said, "Can I have some string cheese? It's a good day for string cheese." What a nut.

Calum came home from preschool yesterday with a fever. He's still sick and mopey. But he did eat some pears today out of this giant bowl. Haha.

Miles is four months! He is the smiliest, giggliest, drollest thing you ever did see. He kicks around in his bassinet until his head is smushed at the top. So we'll have to permanently kick sister to of the crib soon. Wish us luck!

Making Cookies

Calum's been loving making cookies lately, and Mama is so good about letting him help. She even let him crack the eggs and roll the dough. I never let him do that. He was loving it. 

A guy at church asked if Miles was one!! Haha. I know he's big but he's not that big! Haha.

  And he sure is cute dressed up like a tiger.

Our neighborhood had a little halloween party, I didn't realize people were dressing up, so we threw together  some outfits. Calum's was a little small and Ailee's was a little hodge podged. Haha. We had fun.

 

 But we're getting in the halloween spirit. Had a little craft day,

 These kids are so funny. Calum likes to sing The Fall Out Boy song, "Remember Me for Centuries." But he says, "Remember me In Cenjilly." He sings it all the time. He's so funny.

He's also obsessed with sugar beets and thinks they are the coolest. He sure loves his dad. Kevin found a sugar beet cookie cutter so naturally we made them and he was sure to request the sugar beet one all the time. He also gets excited when he sees the sugar beets on a water bottle we have, he made sure to point it out to his friend Levi this week. Haha. I love that he thinks growing sugar beets is the best job :) He even says thats what he wants to do when he grows up. So cute.

It took me forever to leave Kelli's house today because they just wanted to stick their head out the window. Dorks.

Also we found this cat in the freezer.... Haha.

But it's no wonder they're so cute. Look at this little picture I found of their dad.  What a cutie.
