Foulger Family Reunion

We cruised down to Ogden for the annual Foulger Family Reunion. We had so much fun seeing everybody and partying it up with them. 

Kevin had a doctors appointment when we were down there. The doctor said his leg is looking really good, so we are super happy about that.

On Friday we went up to Pineview Reservoir to get some vitamin D. We played spikeball, swam and rode in canoes.

We got home and had some home smoked barbecue courtesy of Keith Foulger. Then worked it off with a friendly game of baseball/dodgeball. Calum had so much fun hanging out with the big boys and Ailee was instant buddies with pretty much everybody, Tori, Randy, Becca, Sir Randall Farts A Lot. The whole crew really. Except for Nate. Haha. She was always a little wary of Nate. ;)

She was down in the TV room with the big boys and turned all the lights off because she wanted it to be a movie theatre. Someone turned them on and they said, Ailee did you turn them on? She then thought she had powers and was moving her arm up and down while someone was turning the lights on and off. Funny girl. They are so lucky to have cousins who have so much fun with them.

On Saturday we went to Hill Air Force base to watch the air show.  It took us 3 hours to get onto the base and get parked. Normally it's like 15 minutes away. It was a little crazy.  Calum was asking a million questions about bad guys and missiles and green-ades as soon as we got near the base. He's such a boy. There were a gazillion people. Luckily the weather was cooler than it could have been. The kids loved watching the Thunderbirds. I had some earplugs for us and Ailee was wearing hers and went over to Grandpa and very enthusiastically stated, "It's So Loud!" And when we got home Calum had a million more questions about missiles and jets and rockets and alpha jets. He just takes it all in.

 Afterward Kevin and I stopped for some giant snow cones. Yum.

We played a couple games and celebrated Kevin's birthday a little early with some lemonade pie!

Sunday was Miles birthday! Calum came running in first thing in the morning to wish Miles a happy birthday. Then he went and made these presents for him. He sure loves him. It's pretty cute.

Poor Miles wasn't feeling super good. He'd kind of had a cold but he got a fever Sunday evening. So he wasn't his normal happy self. He would get a big smile whenever anyone would sing happy birthday to him though. I took him to the doctor today because he woke up with a 104 fever! Kind of freaked me out.  Turns out he has an ear infection. They also gave him an inhaler and some steroid because he was wheezing. Poor kid. Hope he gets better soon.

We went to church with our friends Tregan and Kim, had lunch at their house and then debated for a while whether to leave or not. We decided to stay one more night in Utah because we were having too much fun.

Monday was Kevin's birthday! We had hoped to leave pretty early but fate was against us. We  embraced it and decided to make a pit stop at Shoshone Falls on our way back to Boise. We had lunch at the little park and enjoyed the scenery. Ailee and Calum were however still in their pajamas. Haha.

Keepin it classy

Don't worry, we got back to Boise and had lots to do. Our Utah cousins are in town so we got together with them. He we are driving from our house to my sisters with 8 kids in tow.

We had a little pool party for Kevin. It was a pretty good, busy day.

Kevin had to drive to Oregon and then three hours back toward Utah today for work. Crazy kid. And Miles and me ran around looking for an inhaler mask for his little face. It's been quite the day. But I guess not everyday can be birthday birthday cake and chillin at the beach.

Fathers Day

Kevin has been fixing up Calum's little 50 motorcycle. He cruised around our little circle a few times. He's getting too big.

So of course that what Calum drew for Calum for Fathers day. A pretty sweet motorcycle.

We had a good Fathers day. made some french toast for breakfast, and had dinner at my sisters. 

Calum through a tantrum at the gym the other day, somebody was paying for classes with a hundred dollar bill. Calum started screaming, "I want a hundred dollar bill!!" We all do buddy. We all do.

Been swimming lots. During Calums swim lessons the other day he did something good, gave me a thumbs up and yelled, "I love you mom!!" Haha.

Ailee did another lesson with Riley today. It was a little rough but she's doing good. Little trooper.

She's been saying, "I promise" all the time and "I'm sorry" when she's being bossy. Like If I ask her to go put on her shoes, "I'm sorry but I can't" 

I moved some rooms around. I put Ailees bed in the toy room and put my sewing stuff in the guest bedroom. SO now I have a place to sew and leave my projects out. I'm soooo excited about it. I'm also loving Ailee and the toys in one room because it forced me to put the toys up in the closet. Now they aren't all accessible, which means less mess and genuine play with the toys that are out.

Those summer niiiiiggggghhhhhtttttssss.

Gargles and Gorilla Bars

Back to real life... Well sort of. My sister came up with her girls, so we came home and intently started the party back up. We swam and swam and swam and played and played and played. 

Ailee had a rash, that got super bad one day when we were out swimming. And then Calum was wiped out on monday, I chalked it up to swimming, but he threw up Tuesday, slept that morning and then asked me, "Could you get me some food with protein in it? Do we have any eggs? Eggs have lots of protein." What a character. He seemed totally fin. However the next day he had a little bit of a rash too. I was convinced it was measles at one point since we had just went to Disneyland. Miles also got a little rash, but no one else was sick exempt Calum. It was a mystery. We had a bug. It went away quick. Hopefully it wasn't measles!! I don't want to be responsible for some sort of outbreak!

We've been swimming so much lately Calum has had swimming lessons pretty much everyday the last two weeks. And then Ailee begs for swimming lessons so we go to the pool and swim with her. We have been teaching her to float on her back and kick to the side of the pool and she is kind of starting to get the hang of it. I'll have to take a video. Such a cutie. We went swimming at my aunt Pam's for Cousin Swim Day. Calum kept calling her Pan, and when we pulled up Ailee said, "This isn't Peter Pans!"  Ailee jumped off the diving board and was telling everyone about every two minutes, "I can float!" Ailee is an animal in her, applepus (octopus) floaty. And she sure was pounding the melon-melon (watermelon). I told Calum he could have a treat when he at his food all gone. He came over pointed to his plate and told me his food was gone. I let him have a treat and later went to clear his plate. There was an upside down cup on the plate. When I picked up the plate the cup tipped over revealing the remains of his hotdog shoved inside. So clever, so naughty. Calum has been a little fish lately too. He is getting so good. He only has had a couple meltdowns at sim lessons and that was because he was sick the one day (I didn't know yet that he was sick), and the other time he was cold. He hates to be cold.

That meltdown was maybe partially my fault though. Calum got a new bike this week, a bigger one, so he no longer looks like a circus act riding his teeny bike. He's been wanting to ride the bike constantly, so he begged me to ride to swim lessons. Swim lessons is 1.8 miles from our house. I knew that would be a lot for him to ride there, swim for 45 minutes and then ride back. But I didn't listen to my better judgement. He rode there fine. But only lasted about 20 minutes into his lesson, and then he decided he was too cold and tired and wasn't getting back in. I waited until the lesson was over because I kept hoping he would get back in. He didn't. I had tried to bribe him saying we'd go get a treat if he finished his swimming lessons, so then when we left he was like, do I get a treat now?...... Umm, no. Ensue tantrum. I started riding away, he started following me and finally chilled out. He rode maybe half a mile before he sat down on the ground and told me he couldn't ride anymore. By now Miles is super tired and crabby, also it was dang hot out! So I put Calums bike on the back of the trailer as Calum shoved his way inside. I rode maybe another half mile before everyone in the trailer was crying. Ailee was kicking Calum telling him he was too big, Calum was retaliating and poor Miles just wanted a nap. Calum decided he'd rather ride his bike than be in such close quarters. So we rode home at a snails pace, but the good news is we made it home! And everyone had a nap! But yikes. The bike ride was torture and the swimming lesson was a bust.

 They built a little track in our neighborhood so we went and checked it out. It was perfect for Calum, he was loving it and its seriously right down the street.

Ailee just liked playing in the dirt.

My mom and me even took our activity day girls on a bike ride/progressive lunch through the neighborhood today!

 We went to my ten year class reunion. There was an adult event Friday night and then a family lunch thing on Saturday. It was so fun dressing up, catching up and busting a move with all my high school buddies. CHS 2006 Foreva! Haha.

They had a coloring contest at the lunch. Calum and Ailee both won the prized for their age groups and they were stoked.

 We did ourselves a little cherry picking on Saturday. My aunt and uncle have a giant cherry tree. We rode in a for real cherry picker to the tip top of the tree and picked a million cherries. We almost filled up our five gallon bucket and there were still billions more all over the tree. We had a blast. And have been eating good all week :)

 We've been pretty busy in spite of not having much to do. Calum has helped me model some bow ties. And Kevin's been riding around with dogs.

With all our to and fro the kids have been pounding the Gorilla Bars (granola bars) and spending lots of time in their gargles (goggles) and no one is complaining.
