Kevin went up to the Ranch this week for a ski trip/guys trip. The snow wasn't as great as it has been in years past but they still had fun being bachelors for a few days, eating out, skiing to their hearts content and soaking in hot springs nearly every night. Sounds pretty dreamy. Even if it was "spring skiing"
We were just here at home trying to survive. I put the kids down earlier than usual just about every night. It's rough being a single mom! It was mostly good... other than the two glasses Ailee broke, the flowers Ailee destroyed, the window well that I could not keep my kids from throwing things down, the Dora doll's hair that Ailee gagged on and threw up all over, the dish soap that Ailee took a nibble of and threw up all over, the fact that I am still not feeling 100% pregnancy wise, or the day Ailee decided to wake up for the day at 3:15am. WHHYYYY?
Like I said, the single parent life is a hard gig.
On the plus side, I had my nights to myself so I got a bit of sewing in this week.
Ramey Doll hitched a ride up with some of the ski bums so I got to spend a little time with her. She even let me push her around Winco. I thought we were a funny site.
This week was pretty nice so we were outside a lot.
We even hiked the hill to Kelli's house to briefly fly some kites. We couldn't find the trail on part of it, so we had to bushwhack a bit. Which made it more of an adventure. And yes Calum is wearing pajamas. mismatched ones at that.
Even though these kiddos drove me crazy here and there, they are pretty cute and I did get in some extra snuggles while Kevin was gone.
Ailee and her crazy hair, and Calum and his latest bandaid obsession.

The makeshift couch Calum made for them to watch TV on.
Ailee always wants to be close to Calum. Usually Calum gets bugged but sometimes he'll let her stay close. Too cute.
We were so excited when Kevin got back! (practicing up for the Stew Morrill look alike contest)
This was Calum before preschool the other day
Trying to wash it off...
Still traces of it when I took him to school. He also wanted to wear these three ties, but right before he got out of the car he took them off and said something like, "I'm not wearing these, that would be weirdo."
When Calum got home from preschool he was really excited to tell us all about the letter V (holding up a peace sign) and the violin playing vampire they read a book about and the volcano they made. He said he wanted to make a volcano, and that he knew how to do it. That you put white stuff in and then pour in something else that smells like pickles, and that's how you do it. I told him we could do it when dad got home.
So fun. Apparently he liked preschool that day :)
Here's Ailee attempting to eat another Nutella sandwich, this time with a spoon... didn't work out too well, but she like it :)
Calum's been wearing undies at night and doing pretty good. Finally!! We are so excited, Now, on to next weeks mischief...
