The Belly Flop Queen!

This week has been a little rough. Calum burned his fingers on our stove, we wrecked our car, and Calum has a fever that started yesterday :(  On the bright side, I did win a $20 gift card in a belly flop contest on Saturday. Haha.
I bought some little hot wheels cars for Calum and he loves them, he drives them all around including in this cooler and on our faces.

I don't know if I have mentioned Calum's love for Kevin's hats before, but he loves Kevin's hats!! He always goes to our room and puts them on. So funny.

We went to an event called the Journey's Backyard BBQ on Saturday. There were a bunch of pro skateboarders, BMX riders, Motocross riders and wakeboarders just showing off there skills. It was pretty fun even though it was a billion degrees!!

I also competed in a belly flop contest while we were there. I spent my years perfecting the art of a painless belly flop. As seen in this video.

And this picture from 2007

So I thought I'd put my mad skills to the test. I was the only girl out of the ten or so competitors. This was my first jump.

They then picked the top three jumpers to flop again. I was one of those three :)

Unfortunately I got beat out by a heavy set man who instead of jumping off the bed of the pick up truck jumped off the metal beam that is about at the announcers shoulders. You can kind of see it in the first picture. So I didn't get the $50 prize but I was still proud of my performance as were these professional wakeboarders. Like I said, years of practice. I think belly flopping should be in the olympics because my form is impeccable. Haha.

Anyway, It was a hot week. Our apartment doesn't really have air conditioning so we have been trying to make the best out of our hot summer days. We've been swimming a lot, going on walks, watching movies, golfing and crafting. Calum loves being outside and checking out all the new things like sprinklers :)

We drove up to Roxborough Park on Sunday. Calum didn't love the drive but it was a pretty view.

On the way home was when we unfortunately rear ended the truck in front of us. Edna's (my car) face was smashed in a bit, but Kevin straightened her out, she's no beauty queen but she'll get the job done. The only thing that is really broken is the air conditioner which sadly means more heat for us! Not much happened to the other car, seeing as it was a big truck and we were in a little Hyundai. Still stressful though. And Calum being sick and having blistered fingers isn't much fun either. We're headed to the doctor this afternoon so hopefully they'll be able to figure out what the matter is. Sometimes life's just like that and all you can do is focus on your belly flopping victories :)

We Like to Party! We Like, We Like to Party!

So my mother-in-law texted me last night and says "Is everything ok? There's no blog!!" Haha. So for all of you faithful followers of my Tuesday blog, fear not. All is well in the Foulger house. Just was a little busy yesterday getting stuff ready for Kevin's surprise party we had last night! :) But it wasn't just last night that we partied. Pretty sure we had one shindig or another almost every night this week. That's what happens when your married to a party animal like Kevin, have a monkey for a son and have friends who have the need to party as well :) I am posting a lot of pictures so brace yourself for what was a pretty happenin week.

Rockies Game

It was a nice night for a baseball game, although those clouds do look a little intimidating :) It was a hot summer night. One of those where your arms stick to those next to yours and you stick to your seat. Calum loved being outside, being with all the people and playing with his buddies. He was in such a good mood that we stayed for the entire game, (only to see the Rockies lose in the final inning, sad day). But it was a fun night, thanks for letting us keep Aimsley up so late Foulgers :)

Babysitting

Calum and I got to hang out with our cute Friend Thomas one day while his mom was at girls camp. He is so cute and fun. He didn't want to sleep in the pack and play but he loved Calum's rocket ship bed and conked out right when I laid him in it. The two boys actually didn't see each other much because there nap schedules were off. But when they were playing together they managed to get into some mischief, if you can't tell by the photo below. Calum is such a stinker. Haha.

The Firetruck Muster!

Calum was so excited to be like his Papa and hang out with a bunch of firetrucks. We decided pretty last minute to go check this out and we are so glad we did. We rode our bikes through downtown Littleton on a cool Saturday morning and followed the crowd of people to the firetrucks. There were trucks to climb on...

Trucks to look at...

Old trucks...

Tall trucks...

Big Trucks...

Trucks to ride on...

Water to play in...

Clothes to try on...

And a ball...

Which of course Calum couldn't get enough of. Haha. All in all it was a pretty fun last minute excursion and the start of a really fun day.

Bowling

So I didn't get a ton of pictures of our bowling adventure, probably because most of our time was spent chasing Calum around and trying to keep him of the lanes. We went with some people from our new ward to a yummy BBQ place/bowling alley/concert venue. Haha. It was a pretty sweet little spot and it was fun to get out a meet new people. My wrist has kind of been acting up lately again so Calum helped me with most of my turns. He really liked pushing the ball down the little shoot. I finished off the game at a whopping 14! Probably a personal low. haha. Bumpers would have been a benefit :)

Fathers Day

We spent Father's day with our "other family" as Kevin lovingly put it. Haha. We ate yummy food, played some games and as always, admired Michelle's festiveness! Haha. The Fathers hesitantly agreed to take a few pictures. What good sports :)

To the Father's!! Haha.

Kevin's Surprise Party

So like I mentioned before, yesterday I was getting stuff ready for the party. Kevin turns 30 next week! I was planning on doing a party then but found out a lot of our friends are going to be out of town so I quickly threw together this little shindig and we had a gay ol time!

Everyone was kind of spread out around the park so the surprise wasn't that dramatic, but he was definitely unsuspecting. haha. I told Kevin we were meeting some friends from our ward at this park. He spotted them first and so he went up to them and they said "Surprise!" He didn't catch on, because he was expecting to see them. Next a friend from our old ward came up and said "Surprise!" Kevin was like "Oh hey, what are you guys doing around here?" Still confused. We had to direct him over to the gazebo when finally everyone yelled "Surprise!" It was funny to watch him be confused for a while so sorry to all of you who didn't get to witness it first hand. He was still surprised. So thanks to all. Especially Michelle who I pawned a lot of the work onto. Here are some random photos of the festivities.

The babies chowing down. Haha.

I was really proud of my cake idea. It came to me while laying in bed the night before and was able to throw it together in the knick of time! It's definitely amateur work but it's still fun :)

I kind of dropped the ball though, because I forgot the candles. So we pretended. My bad.

I really like this picture of everyone singing to him. Kevin looks so excited like a little five year old :) Haha.

Calum con las princesas de Huish :)

There was a little splash pad that we tried to get the babies to like but they didn't love getting sprayed with cold water. Still cute :)

Calum mainly just loved the playgound. He really is a maniac. Climbs on everything and slides down anything. Such a character. He definitely makes our lived busy and we love it!

If you can believe it, that wasn't even all the stuff that went down. We went swimming a few times; Calum loves splashing and diving under the water, and we got busted for trying to take Calum and Aimsley down the slide with us. Whoops! A few teeth more of Calum's teeth busted through. We fed some ducks at the park. Calum found some mud puddles to play in. And we found a moth the size of my hand!! (Cynthia, now I know why you think they're so creepy! Yuck!) As always a fun busy week. I'm sure there will be more birthday festivities and partying next week, but until then stay classy Foulger friends.
