The Paci Monster Ate my Binkys

So Calum was getting pretty attached to his pacifiers. We only let him have them when he was going to bed, so he would ask multiple times a day to get into his crib, then beg to get out right when I put him in. He would also insist on having more than one binky, and would wake up in the middle of the night crying for a binky and he would have one in his mouth. Needless to say, it was time to cut the cord. So the night we got back from our trip it was bye bye binkys. We kept them in a box that looked like a monster, so we told him the monster must have got hungry while we were away and ate his binkys. He was sad for about 5 minutes then was over it. He has had a a harder time chilling out when we lay him down some times and have had some rough moments. But all in all it's been a pretty smooth transition. Sleepin like a champ!

Calum had his two year check up this week and also a follow up with the urologist. His appointment with the urologist went well. They said his kidneys and everything look good, so we are thrilled about that. He weighs 25 lbs 4 oz, and is 32 1/2 inches tall. He's in about the 25th percentile for both, but his growth is following the curve it should be, so thats good.

I think we picked up an illness at one of our appointments, because the flu decided to give us each a run for our money.  We have spent a lot of time inside and being lazy this week.

But we did have a little fun before we got slammed with the vicious flu.
Calum has been loving helmets and his new skateboard.

Calum, has learned to take his diaper off, so that is fun. And random shot of him making trouble at Costco.

We are on the mend at the Foulger house, so that's a bonus. We are looking forward to springtime and the end of the cold and flu season!

The Pajama Pant Blindfolds

We made the trek to Boise this past week. There were some glitches and we thought we might not make it out, but we made it and were so glad we got to spend the week with family. Calum had fun helping me pack, dad was a little concerned :)

The best glitch was thanks to my awesome pregnancy brain. We started our drive, and drove the 3 hours to Laramie only to realize that I had left my wallet in Denver, with all of mine and Kevin's credit/debit cards/checks and basically all means of us paying for our trip. We didn't even have money to fill up our tank to make it back to Denver. I had a mini panic attack. But luckily Kevin's dad was able to wire us some money and save our trip. It was a little scary having all that cash, but I'm not going to pretend that we didn't feel like big shots a little bit :)

Calum did awesome in the car. Give him some books, and binky and a corn dog and he's good to go!

We got to spend a little time with Grandma and Grandpa Foulger. Calum was happy to read books with them,

Sleep on their floor. Haha, he rolled of the mat we had for him and I found him like this.

and help/hinder their yard work.

Both times we dropped in it was warm enough for Calum to play in their fun yard, and was mad when it was time to go.

Once we made it to Boise, Kevin ventured on to McCall with the guys for a ski trip and Calum and I hung back and partied it up with the fam. We played outside.

Took baths.

Went Shopping.

Watched movies.

Snuggled.

Read Books.

And ate food!

Apparently, a little too much food, cause my 17 week old baby got really big this week!

Don't worry Kevin had fun too :)

He's crazy! He even pet a bobcat!

While all of that was awesome. The real reason we went up was to throw a carnival for my parents. They both turned 60 this year, and it's their 40th wedding anniversary! So we had to celebrate!

It was a surprise. We told them we were going out to dinner, and on the way, I feigned morning sickness and made them pull over. I then blindfolded them with makeshift bandanas (Calum's PJ pants) and drove them the rest of the way to the party.

And party it was. Complete with face painter, games, dancing, balloon artist and cotton candy.

Thanks for giving us an excuse to party Mama and Papa! We love you!
