We got to spend the weekend in Park City with some of our Colorado friends. It was so fun to see them and party it up in Park City. We sure miss them.
The boys woke up early and went golfing Friday morning, while us girls took the kids to the hotels activities center. They had a blast and even made candy sushi. Calum really wanted me to take a picture of him next to this statue we passed.
Later that day we went up to the resort to ride the Alpine Slide. We broke the elevator on the way there. Whoops.
Riding the chairlift up was the most nerve-wracking part for me. But we did spot two deer so that was pretty cool.
The kids were really helpful bringing the sleds over to the slide.
Ailee kept telling the people in front of us to "GO!" Calum on the other hand was a little nervous and tried to talk us out of going a couple times.
Calum warmed up to the idea once they started to go, him and Kevin flew down the track. Ailee and me took it a little slower, but Ailee looooved it and said "Wheeeeeeeeeee" the whole way down.
We also played at the playground went on a little hike and got ice cream cones. It was a beautiful day.
Ailee was tuckered out from the adventure.
That night we barbecued and swam in the pool. They even put a movie on for us. The kids had a ball.
The next morning Kevin woke up early again and went mountain biking. His gears went out on his ride but somehow he managed without.
Kevin's parents were nice and came to watch our kids while we ran the Dirty Dash. The ad for it said something like, "Where military boot camp meets your inner five year old" Haha. I think they were pretty spot on. The highlights were, Kevin stomping in a mud puddle and showering me with mud, me getting bucked off a bouncy thing, all of us leap frogging up a hill, and floating through a mud pit on our backs (I did not realize how buoyant you are in mud! It was crazy.) We definitely were covered in mud, Kevin even put his head under in one of the mud pits!! We both took nice long showers when we went back to the condo.
We survived! And our kids loved getting to spend time with grandma and grandpa.
That night we went out to pizza. This time it was Calum who tuckered out. He fell asleep at the table!! He's only done this one other time in his life! Haha. Funny kid. He's dead asleep right here.
He woke up when we carried him out of the restaurant. The kids had a movie night. (Poor Ailee's sunburned face. Darn it)
Everyone was going to bed and we discovered that Porter and Michelle (more friends from Colorado!) were in Park City, on our very street, celebrating Porters birthday. We were able to run down an meet up with them for dessert. So good to see them. Michelle was pretending this was her Foulger baby. Soon Michelle, soon.
Unfortunately Emery bit Ailee during this photoshoot. All the way home she kept saying "Baby. Bite. Me." It was pretty cute. Fun to see her stringing words together.
We stopped by my friend Katie's to say hi, and meet her boyfriend Chad. All we got a picture of was her beehive. Haha. But we had fun hanging out. Chad and Kevin served in the same mission so they had fun talking about Germany together.
We then stopped at Kevin's parents for a few hours before we got back on the road. Miles was loving sucking on his fist. Haha.
The drive went pretty smoothly even though we didn't get home till about midnight. Silly Calum kept complaining, "Mom, quit farting."
Kevin- "Sorry bud that was me."
Calum- "Everybody stop farting, everybody hold your farts forever!"
Then later.... Calum- "Did someone fart? I said hold it! Now I have to plug my nose. I can't sick my drink."
And then there was Kevin throwing yogurt on himself.
Still watching kids at the gym. There was a million kids their the other day. Haha. Luckily they are all pretty good :)
Silly Ailee, she is so much fun. I was folding laundry the other day and she would come and grab a piece of clothing out of the hamper and shake it then hand it to me, cause I would pull them out and shake them before I would fold them or whatever. Such a cute little helper.
Here she is with her bum stuck in the gumbo. It was pretty funny.
Calum is so smart it's hilarious. His quotes of the week-
"Mom, if we lived on the sun, we'd have to drink capri suns."
Driving in the car, "Mom, this is an interesting way to go."
Calum- "Mom, you're the best."
me- "You're the best"
Calum- "No, you are."
He is so much fun and has been a little bit better at listening lately. So that's a plus.
He fell asleep the other day on our bed. I knew it was too quiet.
