So happy Keith and Ilene were able to spend the weekend with us. It was the perfect weekend to come. They got to take Calum to his last soccer game, watch the kids while I competed in my first crossfit competition, check out the harvest and see the primary program on sunday.
This was Calum before we took that picture :D He was not like this on the stand however. He knew his part and the words to the songs but he was a little wild on the stand, elbowing people out who "stole his spot!" Multiple people told me how cute and entertaining he was. Haha.
Kevin has been so busy, the kids usually go a few days without seeing him, cause he leaves early and comes home late. Last Friday we went out to Oregon, we took him to lunch and he gave us a tour of all the harvest happenings. The kids were so happy to spend the day with their daddy. Riding in a tractor was pretty fun too.

I competed in the Festivus Games held at Boise Crossfit. It was an intermediate team competition, where we did five different work outs. Tonia and me were team So Fit and So Clean, Clean.i I had a lot of fun, and even hit a PR for my hang clean. It was a good day :) My parents and in-laws even came to cheer me on. Crossfit has been so fun for me this past year. I am definitely not as dedicated as my sisters, but I have really enjoyed going there a few days a week. I feel healthier and happier and love being able to see myself get stronger and better athletically. It is always fun to push myself and see what I am capable of. Most days I see the workouts and am always intimidated. I think, "There's no way I can do that." But then I do it! It is so rewarding. It was fun to do the competition and push myself a little more than usual.
Calum is a nut. Calum has been crying wolf, saying he's going to throw up so he can come home from school. He has told me twice and his teacher twice in the last couple weeks. Once he realizes that he will go home and go to bed if he really is sick he decide he feels better and wants to stay. He is pretty social and I think he likes school maybe he just doesn't love how structured it is. Or maybe he just gets tired?? I don't know. On another note, his teacher was concerned that maybe he is deficient in something because he tries to eat everything: crayons, erasers, paint glue, paper, and thats just at school. At home he eats flour, cornstarch, dog food, chicken feed, plants. I think he's just a spaz, but maybe not? I don't know. I just hope he doesn't poison himself! He has been really into mimes lately, he saw one in a book, we looked them up online and now Calum puts on "shows" where I watch him act stuff out. He has Ailee introduce him, "Ailee say, ladies and gentlemen, now presenting the famous mime!" Then Ailee will say it and Calum will stand on our coffee table and preform his latest routine. He also will introduce ballerina Ailee and she will do a dance number. It's a pretty good little matinee they got going.

My mom and me set up a haunted house for activity days. At first I thought it would be really lame, but my creative juices started flowing and we made a pretty creepy Spook Alley. The activity day girls went through it multiple times, then the cousins and neighbors came over too. Our haunted house probably got a good two and a half hours of use out of it! They entered through my storage room full of snakes (pool noodles), then there was a creepy guy sitting in a rocking chair (it was a big stuffed animal with a coat and mask on with a blanket over his lap, he was truly terrifying), then there was a floating ghost and witch that cackled right as they entered the door, then they crawled through a cardboard tunnel we made that had yarn hanging down (they were all terrified to go into the tunnel. ) when they got out of the tunnel and started up the stairs we through a ghost thing down at them, and that was it. We'd tried to black out all my windows to make it darker, had some spooky music going and creepy decorations to set the mood. I think everyone was genuinely scared their first time through (only three kids cried! Whoops), then the older cousins were just being silly trying to scare each other. It was pretty awesome. I think I found my new calling in life. I hate being scared but apparently I like scaring others. Haha. Ailee loved it! haha. She kept asking to go back through and first thing this morning she asked if the haunted house was still up and was pretty bummed to find out I took it down.
We also decorated cupcakes. Ailee got a little out of hand with it. Haha.
I was pretty proud of my headpiece I made using pool noodles, pipe cleaners, old leggings and hot glue. Haha. MY goal is to not spend a dime on costumes this year, I'm off to a good start!
Speaking of homemade costumes, I helped this little cutie make her own dress for her costume. She was so cute wanting to sew it herself.
Miles is getting so big, he nods and shakes his head, jabbers all day and has mastered the art of speed walking. He's kind of the cutest.
Cousin Jet is in town! We're getting some good use out of our new kids table!
