Rocking the Swimsuit

I was noticing that every picture I have of Calum this week he is in his swimsuit. Haha. I guess that is a pretty good indicator of what life has been like around these parts. We've been spending lots of time outside at splash pads, creeks and swimming pools :)

I haven't quite figured out how to sunscreen his head because his hair parts every which way. So this was him when I was putting sunscreen on him before swimming. Also he loves the mirror lately. Haha.

Hanging out with Thomas on the train at the park, milking cows and playing in the water.

Calum loves playing on my phone and has for a while. I've constantly had to hide it, otherwise he will watch shows and play games all day long. But recently he figured out how to take pictures... This was from one day. He had taken 73 pictures. Haha.

The best news this week is that we got a new air conditioner!! A maintenance guy came to our house to change a lightbulb and was shocked that we had such an old machine in our house. He told us he'd get us a new one right away. We were so happy, and it has made such a difference! Our house is now under 80, instead of 90 degrees. And let me tell you, I am one happy pregnant lady! We aren't minding hanging out at home. Haha. I spend nap times enjoying my chocolate goodies and relaxing in the cool of my home! Haha. Calum has even decided to wear clothes in our house. The other day I had just changed him out of his swimsuit and he told us, "I want to wear clothes, (thumbs up) good choices mom!" Where does he get this stuff?

Favorite quote of the week:
C- "You wan't a knuckle sandwich?"
Me- "No"
C-"You want a hot dog?"

Making Room for Baby Girl

Baby girl is on her way! And we are trying to get ready for the bundle of joy over here. Kevin and I took a childbirth refresher course, which I'm not going to lie, kind of freaked me out! Why are there so many things that can go wrong?? At least we will know a little more about whats going on this time around, but all we can really do it keep our fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly.
Calum is maybe a little too excited. The other day we were at my doctors appointment, Calum was quietly playing a game on my phone on a rocking chair, when suddenly he jumps up and runs straight into the exam room door. It was seriously out of no where. He reminded me of a bird flying into a window. The doctor and I both were at a loss for words and Calum ended up with a pretty sweet goose egg on his noggin.

My sisters gave me a bunch of baby stuff when we were in Utah so we have been trying to organize and make it all fit in our little apartment. Calum has had a lot of fun trying out all the new gadgets, and is sure to tell me every time he walks by our heaps of girl clothes, "These are Finley, Eva, and Presley's. They're for baby sister." :)

We got Calum a big boy bed, which he is thrilled about. We just weren't so thrilled about getting it home, realizing it was the wrong color and having to take it to the warehouse where they would exchange it for us! Such a pain, but we got it all set up and filled with clothes! Now I get to find some cute bedding!!

Calum has also been prepping for new baby. For those nights when sister is fussy, he fashioned himself some earplugs out of fruit snacks.

He is coming up with ways to entertain himself when mom is busy with baby. This is him making a puppet out of a sock. We have never done that with him before so it was so funny. Where does he learn these things?

He is also trying to be so helpful. Not quite tall enough!

Calum has been a pretty good sleeper lately. Most nights he'll go down fairly well, besides the times when he sneaks out of his bed only to give us a mischievous smile and say something like "Why not dad?" while he shrugs, or "I can't go to bed." I often have to hide my face so he doesn't see me smiling at his cuteness. My favorite was the other morning he climbed into my bed, and greeted me by saying, "Mom, I like blackberries. Do you like blackberries mom?" Such a cutie. We kind of drug him around a lot this week so he slept quite a bit in the car. He's so sweet.

We have been staying busy since arriving back in CO. Our apartment is not the coolest so I have kind of been trying to avoid hanging out at home.
Calum was a champ at his dentist appointment.

We rode the train, and saw the animals at a nearby park. Calum was in heaven.

And we have spent a considerable amount of time at the pool. I told Kevin that it is sure nice of him to work full time so that I can go to the pool three times a week :)

We sure love the summertime. And really other than the me being hot factor, I'm kind of grateful that baby girl isn't coming til the end of August. We probably wouldn't ever get out of the house for our little adventures if I had a little newborn right now, on top of Calum the escape artist. You may think my logic is crazy, but I'm just trying to look on the bright side, which is kind of tough when your huge and sweaty and get woken up in the middle of the night by baby kicks and leg cramps that you think may kill you. Haha. Oh the joys of motherhood. But seriously, I'm so excited for baby number two!

Reunion in Roosevelt

Our Foulger Family Reunion this year was spent in Roosevelt at Kevin's sister DeeAnne's house. It was the perfect set up for a pregnant lady :) They have like 15 acres, so everybody posted up their tents but Preggers here got to sleep inside, in a comfy bed. It was glorious. We played games, ate and visited inside when it was hot and outside when it was nice. It was seriously awesome. Couldn't have asked for a better set up! Haha.

The dynamics in the Foulger family are much different than in my family. All of Calum's cousins are much older than him, but they all love him so much and were so good about taking him on little adventures, playing with him and showing him around the yard. This picture is the cutest! Look at all these guys playing with Calum. Warms my heart.

The Bennett's train dogs, and they had at least ten of them while we were there. Calum loved going and watching the dogs. When we would come outside he would say "Where's Benji?" and then make a B-line over to their kennels. He was really excited to help them feed them. Maybe a little too excited because he put a few extra scoops of dog food into the bowls when no one was watching. Haha.

Calum of course had a hay day playing on their land. I think he is meant to live in the country and be a cowboy.

Check out these cute little boots they had for him to wear :)

I was a little nervous about the pond that they have. He was over by the pond with a cousin and there was a tent blocking my view, when all of a sudden I heard a really big splash. I jumped up and sprinted over to the pond. To my relief I found that it was just a big rock that they had hucked in the pond. And my niece said something about how she's never seen a pregnant lady move that fast. Haha.

We played block party

Tennis

Video Games

We had Marshmallow wars. It got pretty intense. And Calum kept finding marshmallows on the ground and eating them the next day. Haha. He was pretty fascinated by a marshmallow he found covered in ants. Thank goodness he didn't eat that one :)

We swam.

Ate ice cream.

Taught the Foulger's the way of the wolf'um

And shot some guns!

I may look like a baller, but I am a horrible shot. Haha. I didn't hit one clay pigeon!

But don't mess with Grandma! She means business! :)

Calum was pretty content just hanging out in the shade. But he did like helping launch the pigeons.

After so much partying it's no wonder that Calum was tuckered out at the end of each day :)

These are from two different nights. Too funny.
