Four Day Weekend! Woot!

Four day weekends are the best! Even though we didn't do a ton it was still just so fun to have Kevin around.
On Friday we went to this cool thing at a nearby park called the Field of Honor. Each of these flags had a name of a service man, when he served and what branch of the military. It was pretty awesome. Definitely made you feel grateful for those who have and do sacrifice for our freedoms.

We played at the park a bit and walked down to the river.

Ailee's face! Haha

Saturday we did a bunch of yard work, Kevin's an animal. We planted a little garden this year and are excited to hopefully see something grow.
That night we went to my cousins wedding reception, they had a photo booth the kids were really into it. Haha. We couldn't find Ailee for a second and she was hiding out watching people take pictures in the Photo Booth. Haha.

We had a pretty lazy Sunday, the boys rode over to Mama and Papa's (Kevin was stoked to try out his BMX bike he just had fixed up.) Ailee and me followed in the car :)

Calum made it there and back for the first time! He did have to take a couple rests though. Haha.

On Monday Kevin rode motorcycles with my brother, and then we had a BBQ at my sisters and then we hosted a BBQ with some of my high school friends. It was fun to see them and catch up. And can I just say that I love Kevin. He was awesome, cooking burgers and putting the kids to bed so I could hang out with my friends. He's the best! Anyway, it was a fun weekend. Kevin picked up a cold and said he thinks he needs a vacation from his vacation.

Ailee's crazy outfits. Haha. She's been saying so much lately. Words left and right, it's pretty cute.

Her and Calum have both loved playing with the baby things. Ailee's the only one who sits long enough for me to take pictures though. Haha.

Calum told me, "Mom, you're the cutest." the other day. Apparently he hears that a lot.
He was driving with Kevin somewhere and Calum said that they should go to the zoo. Kevin said, "No, mom would miss us." And Calum responded, "Mom will probably be alright, she's handsome." Haha
He also likes to list us off, "Dad's handsome, moms pretty, and Ailees cute."
Apparently he's really into adjectives this week.
Calum was so tired the other night, I asked him if he was tired he said, "Yes, I did a million things today."
Oftentimes when Calum prays he will say something like, "Bless Dad and Mom, Ailee and Calum, That's me." It makes me happy. He's a funny kid. Mismatched shoes, stuffing his jersey to try and make it fit him better, haha and insisting on me painting a dragon on his face. I did my best. Haha. Never a dull moment over here.

When the Sun Goes Down

Shout out to my amazing sister Darcie who competed in her third Regional Crossfit competition this last weekend.  Such a huge accomplishment. She is amazing and I'm so proud of her and was so glad we got to watch her online. Not as fun as being there but still way cool. She is an animal! Good job Darcie Wondermom Warren! <---- That's what the announcers would call her! And it's so true!
Love you Darc, you're amazzzzzing.

So the other morning I was getting ready and heard a man stomping around downstairs. I thought maybe Kevin had come home or my dad had stopped by or something. So I yelled down the stairs, "Hello?"
Calum responded, "Hi mom."
Me, "What shoes are you wearing?"
Calum, "My snow boots."
That's totally normal right? Haha. I seriously thought it was a man. He tried to wear his snow boots to ride his bike later that day... I talked him out of it. I think I need to hide the boots. Haha.
These guys have been all about popsicles lately. Ailee tries to open the freezer by herself while she says "a pop pop." It's cute.
However we did go to Costco the other day after they'd each had a popsicle. We got lunch there, they had pizza and a smoothie. Then of course they were handing out quarters of jelly filled donuts and entire creamie popsicles, an then when we got in the car Calum busted open the fruit snacks we just bought. Talk about treat overload. Haha. They were really good though, just sat in the cart eating their treats the entire way through the store. Haha.

I do try to feed them healthy... this is what happens, Calum holds a carrot up to his nose and says, "Hi I'm Olaf." Ailee tries to copy...

Ailee loooves Calum and wants to be just like him. Calum likes Ailee too. This week Calum was saying something about how Ailee's a baby and I said that soon she wouldn't be the baby anymore. He got so sad, started to cry and asked, "Where's Ailee going?"
It was the cutest. He really does love her. He'll even let her watch him play games on my phone. Haha.

Calum also loves his friend Levi. We were talking about heaven the other day and Calum told us he didn't want to go to heaven, that he wanted to stay and play with Levi. Haha. It was a pretty cute discussion.

 Fun at cousins baseball games

Calum got to walk my brothers dog Marley around and he was in heaven! Looks like we need a dog... maybe not right now though :)

This is Calum's last week of preschool, well for this year. They had a little program. Calum insisted on sitting on my lap during it, but it was still pretty cute. Here's one little song they sang.

Falling asleep on the way home from church. Haha

Calum pretending to be a turtle. He had this buckled on and was crawling/walking all around with it.

Kevin and me will sometimes sing, "When the sun goes down, we'll be ready to party." But apparently we say/sing it a lot because Calum has started saying that when it starts getting dark, "When the sun goes down." Haha. Funny kid.
Out with the girlies last night to celebrate my friends birthday. Don't get me wrong these girls are awesome, but Pitch Perfect 2 just wasn't the same without my Colorado home girls. Sure do miss you all!

The Good and the Bad

We had kind of a rough week. We've all been battling colds, so that kind of wiped us out. I spent two days without my nausea medicine and realized just how much it is actually still helping me. Kevin got in a fender bender in his new truck, so that was no fun. But I guess that's life. But, with the bad comes the good and there's definitely more good if we look around. I've been so grateful this week just looking around at how blessed I am. I'll point a few out for you :)
Blessing number one... This guy! So grateful for this cute husband of mine, he really stepped up to the plate when I was feeling crummy and took care of me and our kiddos. He's the best. They rode there bikes to the park.

And enjoyed some smoothies.

Not to mention, he drug them to the store to get mothers day stuff for me. They spoiled me. The got a globe (which I've been wanting) for the World's Best Mom. It was pretty cute. My favorite part of Mother's day was Calum singing in sacrament meeting, made me so happy. We hung out in the yard and it was perfect. Have I mentioned how much we love having a yard. (Blessing number two- yard/house!)

Silly girl loves to snuggle. So fun. (Blessing number 3)

On Saturday night us mom's in my family went out for a girls night. We had dinner and went and saw Cinderella. Always good to have a good old girls night. Wish I'd got a picture of all of us. Sure love these guys. (Blessings 4- mom and 5-Kelli and lets be honest, all of my family)

We've been enjoying some warm weather (Blessing 6- weather) snacks. Popsicles, ice cream, slushies and eating lunch (Blessing 7-food) outside almost daily. (Thanks to our neighbors [Blessing8] who gave us this cute little table. The kids love it!)

My mom gave us her train set, so now we can make a massive route. Calum (Blessing 9) was loving it. Also my sisters, girls have been really into "fairy gardens" You make little houses and chairs and stuff for the fairies to come to. It's pretty cute. Anyway, for activity days this week we potted some plants and Calum keeps saying it's his fairy garden. So I bought a cheap little birdhouse and he painted it this afternoon. I was pretty impressed with how long it kept his attention. He painted the whole house with a teeny little brush. Haha.

We took Calum to the BMX track down the rode. He cruised around for about an hour. He tore it up and was loving it. We may just have to have him do a race one of these days. He would seriously love it. (Blessing 10- our health!)

Kevin finally got his stickers on his bike, he was pretty excited about it/ kind of sad because it now looks like a totally different bike according to him :)

Ailee was being pretty quiet the other morning and then I realized she was coloring all over herself. The picture is no good, but its all over her arms, feet, face, pants and a little on her shirt. Luckily it's washable. Haha.

Dressing up and having a dance party, which was all her idea. She brought me the things to put on her  then opened up the cupboard where the stereo is, showed me where to plug it in. She pushed the power button and started to boogie. It was hilarious. She even had her doll dancing at one point. What a cutie.

She's definitely still obsessed with babies. She was attempting to change her babies diaper the other day. Haha. She always steals my phone and says baby, baby (cause she wants to see pictures of her or another baby. Haha) Calum on the other hand is always taking my phone asking to look at pictures of tarantulas or watch this video. Like I said, with the good comes the bad and vis-versa right? Haha.
