Spring Breaks this week which hasn't made much of a difference in our schedule but Kelli's kids are free so we've done lots of fun things.
Saint Pattys, we had a little shindig at my parents complete with corned beef, cabbage, and some Irish Jiggin.
Ailee was refusing to nap and finding her in random places. Haha.
Easter sewing
I made this dress for Ailee and she wore it four days in a row. Haha. I think she likes it.
Kevin braving the trampoline.
We all got our hair done on Saturday, even Ailee got her first haircut.
Sunday was awesome. I really liked a talk about how Christ magnifies our efforts. Just like how Christ fed the 5000, he took a little and turned it into a lot.
He also talked about how sacrament meeting with kids is like going to battle. Made me laugh. It's rough sometimes but good to show our children the importance. They were actually pretty good Sunday though :)
After sacrament Kevin hiked these yahoos in Calum's class up the nearby hill to get out some wiggles. Hopefully it helped.
One of the sister missionaries thought Kelli and me were twins, not the first time, but she then asked if we were olympic synchronized swimmers, it was a first time for that. Haha. I'm hoping she was thinking of these twin synchronized swimmers
and not these ones. Hahaha.
When Ailee eats something she likes she nods while she chews it. She's hilarious.
Watercolor painting.
Making Peeps houses. The nest didn't turn out great, they kind of reminded me of the jello in Christmas Vacation. Haha.
Miles got his first tooth, well teeth. Four of them started coming in at once. His bottom two and his vampire fangs. So he's our little vampire now. He also learned how to climb the stairs. He's also pretty funny when he gets hungry, he dives headfirst onto me. It's pretty funny.
Nash is Miles little buddy. They're pretty cute.
Calum took his leftover candy from his birthday to the gym with us so he could share with the other kids. We went to see Zootopia with the kids, it was pretty cute but Calum got scared in it and actually started crying, poor guy, he never gets scared in shows. He's really is pretty sweet and sensitive and cute when I least expect it.
But he can also be pretty naughty. We went swimming at the YMCA this week and he didn't quite pass the swim test to go down the slide by himself, but he was able to go down with me. We went a few times and he loved it. I then went down the slide with Finley and Calum waited at the top for me to come back up. When it was our turn I went to sit down but Calum leapt in front of me, gave me a Michael Squints Palidores grin and flung himself into the slide. I looked at the lifeguard who had jumped to his feet and he told me, "GO. GO. Go." I hurried down the slide. I rounded a corner and saw Calum poking his head up out of the water looking a little frantic. I grabbed him and swam him to the side.
I gave him a good talking to. I think he realized it was a bad idea, but it was such a Calum move and I can't help but giggle thinking of his mischievous grin as he cut in line and took off down the slide without me. What a nut.
Making sugar cookies and dying easter eggs.
