Busy Boy, Busy Life

I don't know where time has gone these days. I make To-Do lists and only manage to get like two things done on my list everyday. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't nearly as productive as I used to be. Then I was telling Kevin about my day last night and he laughed because I really did have a crazy day. It's a wonder I get anything done.
So let me tell you about my day. This is pretty much a typical day with Calum...
So I went to JoAnn's Fabrics and was trying to decide what to get, I turned around and Calum had a paintbrush and was dipping it in a glob of brown paint that he had poured on his sweatshirt. I had left my diaper bag in the car, so I had no wipes and had to get the sales associate to go get me some paper towels. We got cleaned up, I got what I needed and went to check out. Calum threw himself on the ground while I was paying because I wouldn't get him a pen with a lion on it.
We went through the McDonalds drive through, while Ailee was screaming because she was hungry. So while Calum ate I fed Ailee.
We went to meet some friends at the park. I was got Calum out and told him to wait for me. Ailee was crying, so I took her out of the carseat. I was holding, my diaper bag, Calum and my coats, Ailee's blanket and pacifier, and of course Ailee. At the park there's a pool that is open in the summers but it is fenced in. I see Calum putting his hand through the fence. He had stuck his McDonalds toy through the fence. I told him I would come help him get it and to wait for me. Next thing I know, he is trying to squeeze himself through the locked gate on the fence, of course he gets stuck, he can't get his head through the tiny slot in the fence and is spazzing out. I have a million things in my hands so it took me a little bit to get over to him and put everything (including Ailee down). We got him out fine, and I stuck my hand through the fence and pushed his toy under the fence, but then I couldn't get my hand out. I was stuck in the fence. I basically had to rip my hand out which resulted in a pretty good bruise.
Later at the park, I thought Calum was playing behind this little wall with his friends but turns out, he was sprinting up to the street. I saw some random lady start running toward the street and realized she was running after Calum, so I jumped up and started sprinting toward them.... Bah. Could the day get any crazier?? Yes!
I had to go to the grocery store because Ailee was down to her last diaper. We got to the store and Ailee is hungry, so I decide to feed her before I go into the store so she is happy. While I'm feeding her Calum falls asleep. Last time I woke him up to go into the grocery store he screamed bloody murder the entire way through. So I decide to carry him into the store, hoping that he stays asleep. I get Ailee in the cart pick up Calum and truck it inside. I was on a mission, in and out. But when I got inside I realized I was wearing my sun glasses, instead of my regular glasses. They are super dark and I had to wear them all through the store. Haha. The good news is, Calum stayed asleep!
Later, I was laying on the couch cause I had a headache (I wonder why), and Calum came up and was asking me for a piece of cake. I told him I would get it in just a sec, and to let me rest a couple more minutes cause I had a headache. He sat pretty quietly by me for like 30 seconds, then kissed my head and said, "All better, now go get me some cake!" Hahaha. It was pretty hilarious.
So that was my day. Never a dull moment with this one. It's a wonder I get anything done! I love him tons though, and I seriously missed him like crazy while I was in California.
Enjoy the random pictures.

Lookin studly at the dentist.

Brief Barfing episode. Rudolf brought him comfort.

Snuggles made us feel better.

Ailee turned four months! She's slimming out :)

My girlfriends and me had a grift exchange night, I wore my famous PJ's. I have some awesome friends.

Calum has been wanting to be like Ailee lately. Hanging out in her Bumbo and bassinet.

Calum had lots of fun hanging out with Dad while I was gone.

Just enjoying the Season and being nice and festive.

Hope you Have a Merry Christmas!

Grandpa Benny Boy

On December 3rd, my Grandpa Benny Boy passed away. He was 90 years old and had lived a great life. I didn't know my grandpa super well because he lived so far away, so it was really neat to get together with people who knew him and here more about him and his life.

I was so grateful Ailee and I got to go to California to celebrate his life with my family. All of my siblings were there. It was so great to get to spend time with them in the warm weather! Especially since the week before was in the negatives here in Colorado. It was a quick trip. Ailee did awesome traveling, and of course everybody loved her and couldn't get enough of her.

The first night I got there we grabbed some Brit's BBQ, made friends with the manager (Jared and Darcie were both hugging her when we left! Haha), and were caroling in the street.

My cute brothers whipped up some music for the service.
My cousin Jenna, me and all my siblings sang "Come Thou Fount."

Grandpa was in the Marines. So the came and played taps and presented my mom with the flag that was on his casket. It was pretty awesome.

So grateful for my grandpa's amazing example to me of loyalty, service, love and honesty. He was a good man and we will miss him.

The "originals"

My siblings and me, oldest to youngest.

Our true selves.

Ailee loved spending time with family and meeting new friends.

Just hanging out at the beach, in 80 degree weather, in December!! What?!? So nice.

I stole Cody's hat cause it was so bright :)

I sent this to Kevin

And he sent this back to me. Haha.

I was feeling guilty that I was in sunny California without these two. They would have loved it. And all of our adventures.

More eating

Scoping out Candy Cane Lane in our awesome get ups!

This street has been doing this since my parents were in elementary school. I guess its mandatory if you live there. It was pretty amazing.

Every house had at least this many lights.

We of course had to get some Thrifty Ice Cream. This mondo cone was a double scoop. I'm pretty sure she gave me four scoops.

Ailee was jealous.

Shopping at the thrift store my mom insisted we stopped at. Haha. She was wandering the store with this wig on. I love my mom!

Ailee wanted to wear it too.

It had ugly sweaters for days!

Whale watching at Pointe Vincente Lookout. We saw three! So dang cool.

All in all it was a good trip. Even though the weather was Ahmazing, Ailee and I were really glad to get back to good old Colorado, and Kevin and Calum. We sure missed them.
