Laundry

Well we've been on our own for about a week and life is busy. I'm pretty sure I haven't gotten anything done. You'd think a babe who sleeps most of the day wouldn't add much to my schedule, but you would be wrong. While she mainly sleeps, the rest of the time she is eating and pooping. Which takes up a lot of time. Not only the time it takes to actually feed and change her, but she goes through lots and lots of outfits. Which means lots and lots of laundry. Lots!
I don't mind having to put her in multiple outfits a day though. She is kind of my little doll who I get to dress up all day long. Again, I don't get much done :) I mean look how cute this girl is...

Giving Ailee her first of many baths.

Calum love his sister. He's been asking to hold her and lay by her a lot. He also likes to share his toys with her and is the first to jump up and find her binky when she starts crying. He's such a good big brother.

My birthday, was this week and I definitely felt the love.

Kevin got off early, so I got to take a much needed nap and shower. We took the whole fam out for the first time. We went and ate steak at a local restaurant called Merles and then got some Cold Stone. What more can a girl ask for?? Starting 25 off right if you ask me :)
These cute babies are like 2 weeks apart :) Love them!

New babies make sweet Evelyn look ginormous! Haha.

The siblings

All the spit up and poop means we look like this multiple times a day. Hahaha. We may just move to a nudist colony. Haha. JK. Sorry Kevin, too cute not to post!

The Sugar Daddy, Kevin. Haha. My sister got him this. Too funny :)

Ailee came in at a whopping 8 lbs 9 oz at her check up today. The doctor says she is beefing up twice as fast as an average baby. I'm just trying to enjoy every minute of sweet little Ailee, because I know that too soon all the feedings, late nights and laundry will go away. Calum is proof that they don't stay babies forever. I can't believe how big he is already! Seriously goes by too fast.

So Many Pictures!

I know I've had blogs before where I have posted a million pictures, but I honestly think I have outdone myself this time. Who knew the first week of life would lead to so many photo shoots!
I called my mom as soon as I went into labor. Her and my sister Kelli immediately jumped into the car with Kelli's two youngest girls and drove the 12 (14 with kids and mamma) hour drive to Denver. I love them so much and was so glad to have them out here, to share in the precious moments that only a newborn can bring, to take care of me and to entertain Calum :)

These little girlies loved Ailee so much. Finley didn't want to put her down.

We only stayed one night in the hospital. Which was super nice. I don't love the hospital. I would much rather be home. Especially since thats where the party was. But we still have quite a few pics from the hospital. She even met her new BFF Stella who is two weeks older than her :)

My boys are so cute with their new baby. Calum asks "Why's she crying mom?" And will immediately try to find her pacifier to give her (shove in her mouth). He is pretty cute.

He was also quite the ham in the hospital. Lost his new airplane, had Kevin and the nurse tearing the room apart. Haha. Good thing he's cute, even with his dirty face and poorly cut hair (thats my bad. haha)

Ailee, not even 24 hours old. Sweetest thing ever!

Headed home from the hospital.

We came home to some very excited people.

Ailee did a lot of what babies do best. Sleep. Which I am so grateful for. Calum wasn't the greatest sleeper, so it's nice to have a baby who doesn't keep you up ALL NIGHT. She also likes to eat A LOT. She doesn't know when to stop, and if I'm not paying attention to how long I've fed her for, she will overeat and spew everywhere. Even with the spew she is gaining weight rapidly enough for the pediatrician to say her weight gain is "amazing" multiple times. Haha

There were a lot of people in our little apartment, a messy house was the result. Four babies and an abundance of sewing projects kept us all busy.

Kelli and my mom were such a big help. They kept Calum very entertained. They went to the park, zoo, swimming, the animal shelter, you name it. He also had an abundance of jelly beans and gatorade. He was spoiled in only the way a grandma can spoil. Kevin even took Calum to his first movie in the theater. They went and saw Planes, got popcorn, which Calum ate most of :)

I guess Calum was quite the little tour guide at the zoo.
This picture of them sacked out at the zoo cracks me up. Haha.

Calum was really sad when they left. He was laying on the floor, pouting and telling me how much he missed Kelli and Mamma. Next thing I knew he was asleep. Haha. Those girls wore him out!

I had to get a pic of both the babes sleeping.

Some of the Foulger crew came to visit. Cute kiddos.

Calum has been a little naughtier this week. Lots of pouting and screaming and telling me no. It's really fun.

But he really does love his sister. He is constantly asking about her.

"Where's Ailee?"

"Can we bring Ailee?"

He has told me, "Your baby's hungry mom!"

"Why's she crying?"

"Can I see her?"

I have to keep a close watch on these two. Calum is still learning how to be soft around his baby sister.

He has tried to pick her up a couple times. Yikes! Luckily I've been right there.

He climbs on her bassinet and swing to see her better or to give her kisses. Dangerous.

And has also tried to smother her with his stuffed animals.

The best was when I thought Calum ate her umbilical cord though... luckily it was just a piece of skin off our rotisserie chicken!! I seriously almost died. Haha.

He has asked multiple times if he can feed the baby, and gets sad when we tell him he can't.

He has told me to put the baby down and hold him

And will tell me that he is soggy and needs his diaper changed when I am changing Ailee's diaper.

Thanks for the cute photo shoot sister. Whew, That was a lot of pictures. And those were only the ones I decided to post. Think of how many I actually took!!
This week has flown by, and we are adjusting to life with a newborn. We love all of the snuggles we get and are loving our sweet newborn girl. My mom and sister are gone now and I am sad that we live so far from family. She is going to be so big the next time my family sees her. It makes me sad. Wished we lived closer. Loved having them out here so much. It's been a really awesome week. Love my family.
