Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve, we ran around trying to get stuff all squared away. We had dinner at my moms and dressed up the kids for a little nativity. Calum wanted to be a donkey, (he wore reindeer ears), and Ailee was the angel. She was pretty cute. She thought it was fun spread her arms out like wings. I had her say "Peace." And she said it so cute and sweet. Love these kiddos of mine.

We got home from my moms and opened up some Aggie jammies that I made. This is the first year I made pjs. I was trying to keep it a secret but, I never had time to myself to make them. I decided my best option would be to make them during Ailee's nap time. Then only Calum would know. But Calum spilled the beans about five minutes into Kevin getting home from work. So that didn't pan out like I thought. Calum nada meltdown when he opened them, because there wasn't a shirt to go with his pajama pants and the minion slippers I got were not the right minion. Haha. He was super tired. But he seriously lost it. We had a long talk the next morning before we opened any gifts about how to act when we received gifts. I'm happy to report that there were no Christmas day meltdowns :)

The calm before the storm..

Santa left a nice little note for the kids.

and a trampoline to go with it! So so fun.

The kids had a blast seeing all the new treasures that Santa brought them.

I was pretty dang pumped about my new mixer.

Grandma and Grandpa liked the map we made them of all the places they lived.

Ailee loved playing with her dolls, and her closet for them.

But her favorite thing is all the new dress ups she got. She wants to wear them everywhere. She got some lipstick all over the Snow White one, so I had to wash it. She was soooo mad she couldn't wear it, that she seriously through the biggest tantrum I have ever seen her throw. Like throwing herself around and inconsolable. It was epic.

Calum really liked all his Minion gear and his Galactic Adventure marble set.

My mom got this car for my dad. The kids were going crazy. Trying to run over everyone and everything. We hung out and puzzled and ate lots of food. All in all it was a good day.

Got to go get ice cream with my long lost cousins. It was so fun to see them and catch up a bit.

Miles turned six months. He's getting super wiggly, rolling everywhere, and trying to sit up. He's so cute we love him so.

Ski Bunnies

Sorry folk for the delayed post. There needs to be more hours in the day!

The weekend before Christmas we went to stay up t my cabin near McCall. When we got there the driveway hadn't been plowed so we had to pull off into the neighbors driveway. There was probably like a foot of snow in their driveway and we got stuck. We thought about walking into the cabin, I started off and sunk into the snow up past my knees! We decided it probably wasn't safe to be parked on the highway like we were and that the two of us carrying our three kids and all our stuff through that much snow could be crazy. The neighbor who plows the driveway wasn't home. We had someone help get us unstuck and then drove to New Meadows for cell service. My dad got a hold of the neighbor who would plow but he said he might not be done til maybe10pm. So we decided to see what the night life in New Meadows had to offer us. Haha. The local gas station/pizzeria was nice enough to bake our take and bake pizza we'd bought back in McCall. Haha. We were really glad when my dad called and said that his time share had an open room in McCall. So we headed back to McCall and set up shop.
It actually worked out really nice. We all went up to the ski resort in the morning. Kevin took the kids skiing. Then I took them back to the condo while Kevin skied the rest of the day. The beauty of it was that there was a shuttle from Brundage back into McCall, so we didn't have to drive back up and get him.

Miles had fun watching them and eating snowflakes. Ailee didn't like walking in the ski boots and wanted me to carry her to the lodge. So picture me, carrying Ailee, Miles strapped to the front of me, carrying my giant diaper bag and trudging through the deep snow in all my snow gear. I'm sure I was quite the sight. I started walking up the stairs to the lodge when someone said, "Are you Kelli's sister?" It was her neighbor. Haha. They offered to carry Ailee the rest of the way. I was grateful. I was starting to sweat in all my snow gear.

Kevin had fun skiing in all the pow pow. He said there was so much son in one spot, that he basically had to snow shoe his way to the cat track.

That night we went ice skating. The kids struggled a bit, but they really liked getting flung around on the ice. Good idea having the wear their snow pants dad!

We also went swimming that night at the condo. I didn't bring swimming suits so we all got new swimming suits for good old Ridleys! Haha.
The next morning the kiddos had lots of fun playing in the snow, building forts and a snowman. I think their favorite thing to do was eat the giant icicles off the condo. Haha.

Calum had fun in the condo too. Miles ear mark on my arm. Haha.

Miles and me stayed inside where it was warm. I cam in and he was buried by the blanket. I couldn't figure out which way he was facing. Haha. Can you tell?

Funny kid.

The roads were good driving home and Ailee was pooped from all the adventuring.

Kevin's parents came into town to watch the Aggies play in the Famous Potato Bowl. Ilene was nice and watched Miles and Ailee so I could go to the first half. Our friend got hooked up with some company tickets for us, so we got a free meal before and free entrance into the game. We only had to pay for parking. It was a pretty good day, even though the Aggies lost :( They won in my book. Dang refs. Calum begged to go to the game, I was a little nervous cause it was pretty cold, but he did awesome. He only cried at the very end when he found out the Aggies lost. He said, "They should've kicked the Kangaroos out of the game." Haha.

Keith and Ilene even braved my grandma's family Christmas party. The kids were a little nervous around Santa. Haha. But they did good. Ailee would only nod and shake her head. She wouldn't say a word to him.

We are loving having grandma and grandpa in town and getting ready for Christmas!
My favorite was getting woken up one morning by a nerf bullet in my back! Haha. Calum thought it's be fun to shoot me first thing in the morning.
Later he asked me, "Is there French food? Like French toast or pancakes." Haha. Silly kid.

We've been partying so had that Calum fell asleep on the way to dinner. It was like 5:30 haha. We laid him on the bench and he slid off head first onto the ground and didn't even wake up! It was amazing! Haha.
