Had the urge to make a word cloud using the blog. I think it's pretty telling :) Thought I'd share.

The Dry Road Miracle
We made a quick trip to Utah this week. We went out for Kevin's grandma Zola's funeral. She lived a good life and it was a happy occasion; remembering and celebrating her life, and seeing loved ones. I being a relatively new member of the family knew only a handful of the people there :) Calum was glad to see his grandma and grandpa and play with all his cousins, aunts and uncles. It was a good, quick trip.
The roads were awesome for us! Which was a miracle because it snowed the morning we left. And the day we came home, Denver had so much snow that our church got cancelled!! Seriously there was barely any snow on the roads so we just cruised and tried to take scenic pictures, which are kind of a major fail thanks to our dirty/cracked windshield :) But here are some of the better ones. Utah and Colorado sure are pretty.
Calum did awesome on the drive. He played games, watch shows, read books, slept, drove and even saw a dinosaur! Which he was a little scared at first but eventually warmed up to GRRReta :)
I can't believe how awesome Calum was at remembering everyone's name. We saw lots and lots of family. He was so cute always asking where people were and would say their name when he saw them without being prompted. So crazy!
Just being crazy with the Warren's.
Riley made some cute little burritos, which got us jones'n for Costa Vida :)
All the crazy kiddos.
We briefly got to see a few of our friends and their cute babies.
Have I mentioned how Calum loves babies lately. He wants to see them, hold them and love them. He will even lay down some times and say, "I'm a little baby." It's too funny. He's going to be such a good big brother. Just look at him and little Ross. Melts my heart.
As always, it's good to be back home, but we sure do miss all our friends and family in Utah.

For the Love of Monster Trucks
When you think of Valentines day normally what comes to mind is hearts, candies, flowers, pink, red, love, and monster trucks right?? Well apparently when you have a little boy, Monster trucks and Valentines go hand and hand.
I got these little monster trucks from the dollar store to make Valentines for some of Calum's buddies and Calum loved them!!
He's obsessed with these short videos of the Disney Cars character Mater. And in one of them Mater wrestles monster trucks so thats what Calum kept reenacting here Playing with his trucks . What a character.
We had a really good Valentines. We each got spoiled a little bit. I attempted to be creative and made breakfast for Calum.
And cookies for Kevin. (They are hard to read cause I bought the wrong frosting to write with :( The bottom right cookie says, "I love you more than..." and then the other ones have comparisons. Good luck reading them haha.)
Pretty sure Calum liked the cookies more than his breakfast :)
Kevin spoiled me. Not only did he get me fruit rolls ups (which I've been craving) and wrote one every single one :) Such a cutie. But he also took me to get my first ever massage! And it was amazing!
Calum didn't just get cookies for breakfast, but dad spoiled him with, you guessed it, monster trucks! His little lips crack me up! Dad and him have way too much fun with their trucks these days. I think Kevin really bought them for himself.
On Saturday the boys fixed our couch :)
Then enjoyed their reward :)
Calum and I went on a date to Burger King to get some soft serve while we waited for our oil to be changed :) I think Calum had a good time! Haha.
My cute friend Megan threw a half birthday party for her husband, me, and my friends little girl. Basically anyone with an August birthday. Just another excuse to get together and party! :)
Calum is getting crazier by the minute; running, jumping, throwing stuff. Kevin saw him do a summersault onto the couch the other day. We tried to get him to do it again . He's a wild man. He didn't want to wait for me to peel an orange the other day so he took a bite out of it, then threw up, laughed and tried to take another bite. Seriously, who is this kid? All I know is he is a fan of Valentines and monster trucks.

Tea and Medicine
I had my 12 week appointment this week and got an ultrasound that I wasn't expecting. The technician that gave me the ultrasound was my friend Kristin. I knew she was an ultrasound tech but I didn't know she worked at my doctors office. She is only there one day a week so it was pretty lucky that that was the day I went in :) So we chatted it up. (She's pregnant too!) She did guess at what the gender was but I think I'll keep that to myself for now :) It is so crazy that they can get such good images already!! The baby is only like 2 inches long but it looks and moves around as if it were nine months! So crazy. It was fun to see the little babes and realize that all my morning sickness will pay off :) Speaking of which the doctor started me taking a anti-nausea medicine and it is helping me so much! Why didn't I do this before?? I am a whole new person! Thank goodness for modern medicine.
My good friend had a birthday this week and we celebrated with a tea party! It was super fun and way too cute. The host, Ashley, outdid herself. We kept asking how we could help and she'd say, oh I'm not really doing much for it. But she lied. I mean serious, look at this. Handmade place cards, china, doilies, fresh flowers, hand dyed napkins and table cloth?? Seriously makes me never want to throw a party again... I just can't compete :)
At least she let us bring the food. Which was all divine!
Thanks Lexy for having a birthday so I could live out my childhood dream and actually attend a tea party! :) Cute party for a cute girl.
And lets be honest... I had way too much fun. The night before I was up gluing flowers to my hat, making broaches and trying on outfits. I get into parties :)
Ok, ok. My friends are cute. The party was way cute, but this kid is way cuter. And we all know he's the real reason you read at my blog. :) So I'll get on with bragging about my cute kid.
He is obsessed with my phone these days! He knows how to navigate it and find his games he plays. He seriously can't get enough. I have started hiding it, because if I get it out for anything and he sees it he starts trying to take it from me so he can play his games. Even when we call people he usually likes to talk to, dad, grandma etc. He starts trying to find games on the phone. He's kind of a punk. And has started throwing temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way. So that's a new adventure for us.
When he's not being a gamer or being naughty he is usually pretty funny. My favorite things he's been doing lately is coming into a room and saying "Hi Mom, or Hi Dad" It's super cute. The other day Kevin was holding him and I was walking ahead of them and he calls after me "You get back here!" Hahaha. Cause of course that's what we say when we chase him around the house. :) He also likes playing catch with a football he insisted I buy at the dollar store. He'll throw it and say "Touchdown Aggies!" Love him. He's seriously so funny and is getting way too big! The other day he started singing "Head, shoulders, knees and toes." and another time, "If your happy and you know it clap your hands." Kevin and I had no idea he knew those songs! He must have learned them in nursery, but it's so funny when he starts singing them out of nowhere. What a kook!
And in case you're wondering... I did finish my rag rug :)

Cute Kid
This kid is such a cutie! I love his happy self. We broke out the bike trailer and went for a little cruise. Always nice to get out of the house, but oh man did it tucker me out. It's amazing how tired this baby growing business makes you. I danced for like two minutes with Beyonce during half time and thought I might die!! :)
Calum is a good helper. He helped make no bake cookies last night and loved it. He mostly liked licking the bowl after :)
Calum had his first bubble bath ever this week. We are loser parents and deprived him of this simple joy til now. He had a ball. It was even "Cars" bubble bath (which is Calum's favorite show right now) so he really liked pointing out Mater and Lightening McQueen on the bottle. Such a fun boy.
