The Dry Road Miracle

We made a quick trip to Utah this week. We went out for Kevin's grandma Zola's funeral. She lived a good life and it was a happy occasion; remembering and celebrating her life, and seeing loved ones. I being a relatively new member of the family knew only a handful of the people there :) Calum was glad to see his grandma and grandpa and play with all his cousins, aunts and uncles. It was a good, quick trip.
The roads were awesome for us! Which was a miracle because it snowed the morning we left. And the day we came home, Denver had so much snow that our church got cancelled!! Seriously there was barely any snow on the roads so we just cruised and tried to take scenic pictures, which are kind of a major fail thanks to our dirty/cracked windshield :) But here are some of the better ones. Utah and Colorado sure are pretty.

Calum did awesome on the drive. He played games, watch shows, read books, slept, drove and even saw a dinosaur! Which he was a little scared at first but eventually warmed up to GRRReta :)

I can't believe how awesome Calum was at remembering everyone's name. We saw lots and lots of family. He was so cute always asking where people were and would say their name when he saw them without being prompted. So crazy!

Just being crazy with the Warren's.

Riley made some cute little burritos, which got us jones'n for Costa Vida :)

All the crazy kiddos.

We briefly got to see a few of our friends and their cute babies.

Have I mentioned how Calum loves babies lately. He wants to see them, hold them and love them. He will even lay down some times and say, "I'm a little baby." It's too funny. He's going to be such a good big brother. Just look at him and little Ross. Melts my heart.

As always, it's good to be back home, but we sure do miss all our friends and family in Utah.
