Four day weekends are the best! Even though we didn't do a ton it was still just so fun to have Kevin around.
On Friday we went to this cool thing at a nearby park called the Field of Honor. Each of these flags had a name of a service man, when he served and what branch of the military. It was pretty awesome. Definitely made you feel grateful for those who have and do sacrifice for our freedoms.
We played at the park a bit and walked down to the river.
Ailee's face! Haha
Saturday we did a bunch of yard work, Kevin's an animal. We planted a little garden this year and are excited to hopefully see something grow.
That night we went to my cousins wedding reception, they had a photo booth the kids were really into it. Haha. We couldn't find Ailee for a second and she was hiding out watching people take pictures in the Photo Booth. Haha.
We had a pretty lazy Sunday, the boys rode over to Mama and Papa's (Kevin was stoked to try out his BMX bike he just had fixed up.) Ailee and me followed in the car :)
Calum made it there and back for the first time! He did have to take a couple rests though. Haha.
On Monday Kevin rode motorcycles with my brother, and then we had a BBQ at my sisters and then we hosted a BBQ with some of my high school friends. It was fun to see them and catch up. And can I just say that I love Kevin. He was awesome, cooking burgers and putting the kids to bed so I could hang out with my friends. He's the best! Anyway, it was a fun weekend. Kevin picked up a cold and said he thinks he needs a vacation from his vacation.
Ailee's crazy outfits. Haha. She's been saying so much lately. Words left and right, it's pretty cute.
Her and Calum have both loved playing with the baby things. Ailee's the only one who sits long enough for me to take pictures though. Haha.
Calum told me, "Mom, you're the cutest." the other day. Apparently he hears that a lot.
He was driving with Kevin somewhere and Calum said that they should go to the zoo. Kevin said, "No, mom would miss us." And Calum responded, "Mom will probably be alright, she's handsome." Haha
He also likes to list us off, "Dad's handsome, moms pretty, and Ailees cute."
Apparently he's really into adjectives this week.
Calum was so tired the other night, I asked him if he was tired he said, "Yes, I did a million things today."
Oftentimes when Calum prays he will say something like, "Bless Dad and Mom, Ailee and Calum, That's me." It makes me happy. He's a funny kid. Mismatched shoes, stuffing his jersey to try and make it fit him better, haha and insisting on me painting a dragon on his face. I did my best. Haha. Never a dull moment over here.
