Throw the Baby Chick in the Air Like You Just Don't Care

Saturday was pretty packed for us. Our neighborhood is the bomb. They had the funnest little Easter Egg hunt. Not only was there the hunt but there was live bunnies, cotton candy, a jump house, face painting, they let them plant flowers, and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. Ailee had fun doing all that stuff, Calum only wanted to go to the jump house and wanted nothing to do with the other activities. Haha.
Ailee didn't quite get the whole Egg Hunting concept. She would just stand and point at them while the other kids picked them up. She would say, "Get that one, get that one." I picked a few up for her otherwise she probably would've ended up with two eggs.

Sleepy Miles fell asleep during all the excitement.

So it was more of an obstacle course and less of a jump house, Ailee had me carry her through once, once was enough for me. Haha. She really liked the slide though.

We hung out for like an hour after the hunt.

Then Kevin took Calum to a birthday party in the tumble bus. They had fun.

While the boys were away Kelli and me took the littles to the farm to try out her new camera. We had fun taking these cute Easter pics.
Ailee didn't want to hold the chicks but she did decide to pick one up and throw it into the air!! Luckily it was ok :) Haha. She did let one briefly sit on her lap later on. Kelli and me also laid in chicken poop. It was eventful. Haha. But the pictures turned out super cute! So it was worth it :)

Miles was pretty good tip Ailee started bugging him. Haha. Look at that pout. He did like to eat the flowers though :)

Feeding the chickens jelly beans. Haha.

Little country girl

After the photo shoot we went to my Grandmas for another Easter Egg Hunt and some yummy food.

Easter morning the kids found their baskets.

We took some pictures.

Calum really wanted a picture with his Skylanders. Haha.

Church was awesome as always, complete with naps, failed princess drawings (Ailee kept getting mad at me for drawing it wrong), and kids refusing to go to Primary. But we did manage to feel the spirit. I love getting to take the sacrament each week and remember the Savior but especially on Easter when all the talks revolve around him and the atonement.

After church Ailee ate her entire chocolate bunny. Haha.

We went up to my sisters for dinner. Miles thinking he's pretty cool sitting like a big boy for a sec.

Miles was happy to hang out with his buddy Taye

And all the kids were happy for dessert and one last Easter Egg hunt

So our weekend was crazy but I feel like the rest of our week has been pretty chill. Hanging out, cleaning up, doing our taxes, taking goofy pictures, splitting milkshakes etc.

Kevin went on a quick mountain bike ride and survived. So thats good.
And Mr Miles turned 9 months!!! You're so fun and busy and we love you so much!

Hope you had a great Easter too! :) I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ and the atonement, he really can take away our burdens and sorrows and make us whole. He magnifies our efforts so we can become the people he knows we can be. He loves us unconditionally and wants to help us every step of the way, we just need to ask! He lives!
