The Appendectomy

My poor mother-in-law ruptured her appendix last week! We had planned to go down to Utah for the long weekend, leave our kids at grandmas and go backpacking down in Escalante. But plans change and you make the most of it right. We still went down to Utah (we had to go to the Aggie season opener) and kind of flew by the seat of our pants. It wasn't what we initially planned but we had so much fun!
First night Aggie game in their newly remodeled stadium. Kevin had to stop by the bookstore to get some new gear. The kids had fun watching their first Utah State game in Logan. Calum said, "This was the best Aggie game ever!" Then, "Is this how Big Blue dances?" We're starting em young.

We drove by the temple on the way back to grandmas and Calum said, "Oooo I love the beauty of it." :) cutie.
The next day we hit up the temple, hung out with grandma, ate at Call's Family Drive-In and drove back up to Logan to watch our nephew Creedyn's football game, where the kids played in the volleyball court and Ailee tried to get lost again. Double Snuggles!!

We spent all day Saturday at Seven Peaks with my Darcie's girls, Randy's family, and our friends Taft and Lesha's family. To say the kids had fun would be an understatement, well, Mile's didn't have the best time, but he endured. Haha. Calum ran around with his cousins the whole time. He loved the wave pool. He won't stop talking about Seven Peaks. He is a fish.

We spent Sunday at Randy's just chillin with the family and recovering from staying up late and partying at seven peaks

Calum and Kevin had fun going on rides with Randy. Calum and him went on a long ride and even saw some deer.

Kevin woke up early and went mountain biking

We then drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon along with everyone else in Utah and went on a little hike up to Cecret lake. Our friends Porter, Michelle, Taft, Lesha, Ben and Dena and their families all came too. It was too much fun and oh so pretty.

Ailee kept wanting us to stop and take pictures of her. So funny.

From there we headed home. Lots of fun in the car. Ha. Calum randomly said, "101 9 th Bull," (a radio station here) and I asked him how do you know that? He said, "cause I'm like a camera." He is so funny. I made Kevin pull over a couple times on the drive because I kept having this weird fearful feeling. Who knows why. But we made it home safe! Hoorah! We also saw this deer hopping the fence in our neighborhood! So that was fun.

Calum had his first soccer practice this week and loved it! He is so fun. I was snuggling tonight and he told me, "I love you to the Ranch then to California then to the moon and back."  He is so fun. My favorite part was watching him tear up and down the field and trying to jump on top of the ball. Haha
