So we did it! We up and moved.
Kevin and me kept saying "We're really doing it Harry." for the last couple weeks (From Dumb and Dumber) It's kind of been our slogan for this move. Haha.
The last few days before we moved were a little rough on the kiddos. All the toys were packed up, and I was too busy packing to take them anywhere so they watched a lot of TV and Calum had more tantrums than usual. So that was exciting.
These two tuckered out from packing.
Ailee gazing out her window one last time. Haha. Not really. She just loves to look out the window.
We did carve pumpkins though. A few days after Halloween. Haha.
Calum was getting into the Halloween spirit.
Making messes while I was busy talking to our insurance people.
Just Kevin's co-worker launching rockets off at the temple. Had to fill up on shenanigans before he left right?
The temple presidency did actually have a nice lunch for Kevin, so that was really nice.
And we were able to get together with a few of our friends before we left, so that was really great.
We had lots of help which made the move so easy!! So big thanks to everyone who helped. My dad drove out my uncles trailer and my two nieces. It was nice to not have to rent a truck. And the girls were a big help keeping an eye on the kids while we moved and also were my little babysitters on the drive to Utah, which made the 9 hour drive go much smoother than I'm sure it would have.
I felt bad we weren't able to entertain these cuties more. But they seemed to have fun on their trip to Denver. We went to the American Girl store, the Apple store, a park, and we ate out quite a bit. They really are such fun girls, loved getting to spend time with them.
Papa even spoiled us with some candy.
And Calum gave us a show in the park when him and another three year old had a brawl! It was really intense. They were fighting over a little riding car when the fighting ensued. We basically had to pull them apart. Calum sat in time out for a while and then the other little boy came over and said Calum could have a turn, and then they played like best friends for about an hour. Haha. Boys are crazy. You can't see it super well but there are scrapes all over his neck cheek and ear. His top lip was even raw where the other boy grabbed his face!
These pictures of Ramey and the babies crack me up and creep me out all at the same time. Haha.
On the road!
Denver, I will not miss this traffic!
So the girls drove with me to Utah and then Kevin followed me the rest of the way to Idaho, but turns out he didn't need to because the kids slept for basically the whole drive. They woke up when I finally had to stop for gas about 45 minutes out of Boise. Haha.
I did get pretty sad this last week knowing we were leaving Denver! But Calum and Ailee are in heaven living at Mama and Papa's.
And living so close to my sibling is going to be the funnest!
We've already had some good adventures. Calum dropped an egg on the ground at my sisters and then took handfuls of it and ate it! I almost lost my lunch but Calum loved it and kept taking more bites. Yuck!
I rescued my aunts cat from my sisters roof today. Haha.
And Calum and Ailee have loved playing with their cousins.
Kevin has been working with my brother and has talked with a guy in our stake who has a landscaping company. So maybe something will come from that. Who knows. But glad we are finally here, now we just have to get unpacked and settled. Another day, another adventure.
