Cowabunga!!

Whew! We have had a BUSY week! Trying to pack it all in before we head out I guess.
We went to the temple one last time. We're so grateful for all the temple means to us and for the opportunity that Kevin had to work and serve here. It has definitely been a huge blessing in our lives.

Calum had a little Halloween party for joy school, complete with trail mix full of ghost poop, witches warts, monster scabs and goblin teeth. Hahaha. They had fun. Calum love s joy school.

We rode the train downtown with some friends to a trick or treat thing they had at Union Station. It was a little chaotic. There were a million people in the train station and all Calum really wanted was a balloon animal, so I waited in line forever. By the time we got our animal our friends had had their fill and were ready to leave :( So we walked around a little more, had some dinner and rode the train back with our children who were tired and wired with sugar!!  It was wild. I think kids on sugar highs is the real reason carseats were invented. To strap down your maniac children, so they chill out and go to bed. Hahaha. But in all honesty, they had fun, and were pretty cute so it made it worth it... maybe. ;)

I had one last girls night with some of my cute friends. This picture is kind of the worst, but I had to document :) I love these girls and sure am going to miss them :(

My friend Candace put together this Halloween bowling party. It was so fun!! Crazy, but a good crazy. This isn't even all the kids, we couldn't get them to all stay in the picture. Haha.

The moms were much better at holding still. Haha. Too fun

That night we had dinner and went trick or treating with some friends. Calum didn't want to be Leonardo so Ailee got to wear his cozy hoodie all day. She was happy about it. Plus it was perfect for trick or treating cause she doesn't have a green coat, and homeboy has a million :)

Ailee was busting a move, and loving the candy haha.

Calum didn't love the actually trick or treating. He said it was spooky and that there were creepy monsters out! Apparently he's watched too many Halloween shows. What a nut. He also threw a tantrum because he didn't want to carry his candy bag. So he rode in the stroller for a lot of the time and Ailee went trick or treating instead. Haha. Today she held the trick or treat bag up to me so I pretended to put something in it. She looked inside then got frustrated and said "Uh" and held the bag up again. Haha. She knows whats up.

He's kind of been throwing a lot, I mean, a lot, of tantrums lately. It's kind of the worst... one such moment...

But we really did have such a fun Halloween.

We really wanted to go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs one more time before we move, so we went yesterday and it didn't disappoint.

Calum loved feeding the giraffes. Ailee was nervous. Haha.

Up close and personal :)

The carousel was a little too intense for little miss.

But she sure liked crawling in tunnels.

Calum got eaten by a snake. You love this grandma, I know :)

Can you spot the lion?

The reptile house is so awesome. It's decorated like an art museum. So cool.

Calum's favorite was Tai Lung's brother, (the snow leopard) haha. We got to see them training him. So he climbed and jumped and ran around.

My favorite as always is the grizzlies. You can get so close to them! They are amazing. They swam all around for us and stretched for us. They were feeding them and Calum thought it was hilarious when the bear would swat away the green beans. Apparently he doesn't like green beans. Haha

That night we got to go to the Lantern Festival. It was pretty awesome. We got to give Colorado a proper goodbye :)
It's hard to read but our lanterns say, "Bye Colorado, we love you." and "Idaho or Bust"

Such a pretty site. It kept us on our toes too, because some people let their lanterns go too early and so flaming lanterns would come flying toward your head or flaming to the earth. Only a handful out of a few thousand, haha, but it was enough to keep us very alert and aware of our surroundings. Hahaha.  Such a fun night with the very best friends!

So this is the week! Almost all packed up. A few more shots of the kiddos BUMMIN around the apartment. Get it? :)

Like I said, we had a busy week. Lots of turtle power and lots of fun. Now time to grit my teeth and get to work, and hopefully see a few more friends before we leave!
