Possibly the Longest Post Ever

Hello my faithful few. It's been a while and I apologize. We got back from our 2 1/2 week vacation with a total of about 1600 pictures!!! How does that happen?? So anyway, it's taken me a bit to get my act together. But I've finally buckled down and uploaded and edited and chose pictures (the hardest part obviously) to put in this blog post. Hope it was worth the wait :)
Our road trip started off a little bit hectic. Two days before we left our car started driving funny, so we took it in (leaving me car-less) and they discovered that our lug nuts were loose and our wheel was about to fall off!! Glad that happened before we left. Yikes! Also Ailee had a raspy voice the whole week before we left, so I decided to take her in and get her checked to put my mind at ease before we started out on our excursion. A quick check up turned into an entire afternoon at our pediatrician and then an ENT office, where they put a scope up Ailee's nose and looked at her vocal chords. They were worried she might have a a tumor on her vocal chords, but turned out to be nothing. Calum was a trooper, even after he got called a girl, haha. He was rocking his friends pink pants (he had an accident at their house).

So all that stuff made our vacay prep kind of rushed, we went to bed after 1 and got up at 4:30 to hit the road.

We traveled over 1600 miles and spent no less than 30 hours in the car. The kiddos did fantastic! We made many a stop what with nursing Ailee and potty breaks for Calum. Our car was packed to overflowing. We got pulled over once and Kevin charmed his way out of a ticket ;) Our best idea was breakfast sandwiches at McD's. We were there for probably a solid hour.

Everything you see but the table and couch were in our car. Kevin dubbed himself the Tetris King.

My friend Katie hosted a fun little Christmas shindig, we were so excited to be in town for it. Loved seeing a bunch of our Utah friends!

Calum was posing as well as ever :) Good thing Katie likes him.

Calum was not excited about wearing a bow tie for church. Haha. But they are a pretty cute Christmas duo.

Calum fell asleep on the pew. We left him there while we enjoyed a Christmas linger longer, and heavy hors d'oeuvres :)

He woke up with sweet bed head! Haha

Monday night we ventured to Salt Lake for some delicious Crown Burger and a visual feast as we checked out the lights on Temple square :) Calum's cousins really like him. It's the cutest. Ailee and him are the youngest on the Foulger side, so they get a lot of attention.

Chistmas Eve we went and saw Frozen, played in the snow and had a nice low key evening with Kevin's parents.

Calum liked stabbing the snowman with his shovel while Kevin built it. Haha. They were a great team.

Do you wanna build a snowman?

I'm Olaf, I like warm hugs.

We caught Santa!

Christmas morning was also pretty low key. Santa didn't disappoint.

Ailee was thrilled about her new headbands. Haha.

The rest of the Foulger clan came over that night, and Calum fell asleep in the midst of the gift giving. It was a big day for him.

We like our cousins.

A few days later in Idaho we had a redneck Christmas :) My parents had been in California until the day after Christmas so some things were wrapped in black trash bags and we had a beautiful neon tree. Haha. But as always it's not that stuff that matters. We were just so glad to be there and get to enjoy time with our family that we love and miss so much!

We also got sweet harmonicas, slide whistles and nose flutes.

All the boy cousins (besides Jet and Tannen in Phoenix) playing duck duck goose

Calum and Ailee have lots of fans in Boise too!

Calum and Ailee's wardrobe malfunctions

An eventful New Years Eve. Our radiator broke so Kevin had to fixing that. Five of us adults took 11 of the 7 year olds and younger bowling. It was wild.

That night we sat around in our jammies and stared at each other.

Just teasing, we played Minute to Win It Games, had banana splits courtesy of KDKDK and dressed up like potatoes of course!

Needless to say, things got rowdy:)

Boise started doing a potato drop on new years. Haha.

We were inspired and decided to have our very own. We scrambled to come up with some outfits, and rolled down the stairs at midnight.  Haha. Babies were sleeping in most of the rooms so we had to really put our thinking caps on. Turns out we're a pretty creative bunch. Haha.

The Dic-tater

The cooked potato (notice the fork)

And the Prize winning potato!! We were all dying laughing when she came upstairs. Haha

The whole crop (minus Mamma). I was a baked potato, I don't know where my close up is :)

Just chowing down on some queso dip in the wee hours of the morning. We really were all gathered around the bowl like this, haha. Typical Ramey girls, hovering around the food :)

Getting the kids to sleep on vacations is never fun. I was done after a week of it but we powered through. Clearly Calum wasn't sleeping great!

Four the last four years around New Years, my family gathers at my grandpa's grave to celebrate his life through story, song, Big Mac's and Dr. Pepper. We were so glad we were in town for the Big Mac Vigil this year :) Of course Calum got a little rowdy, we spotted him with his pants around his ankles and peeing on someones grave. Whoops. Hopefully they didn't mind too much.

We got to visit Uncle Greggy at the fire station. Calum was in little boy heaven. He even got to go for a quick ride on the fire engine around the station.

Calum and me both whacked off our hair. I took off a solid ten inches and am loving it!

Calum wasn't too sure about me taking pictures, but warmed up to the idea :)

Night out with my sisters and brothers

We got in a little puzzling.

We got to stay up real late and see some of our good friends.

Love Birds

We also got to go to the temple with Liz as she received out her endowments.

We snuck in a couple ski days while we were up. We took Calum on a couple runs. He didn't love it like he did last year but he did really well!

Doing snow angels in the snow and on the asphalt

He may not have loved it, but he's already talking about going again. Haha.

So that was our trip! It was a good'n. We miss everyone already. If you're missing us and haven't seen enough of our faces so far, here are some more!

There you have it. The longest post ever.
