Mad Gab

Calum has become quite the talker these days. And as a result I am finding myself in a constant game of  Mad Gab. You know the game where you read the cards that says "Ask Rude Arrive Her" and the answer is "A Screwdriver." That game has become my life. Trying to decipher Calum's every word. It is pretty entertaining but can also be frustrating. The other day Calum kept saying "Soup Eye," he wouldn't stop and was getting soooo mad that I couldn't figure out what he wanted. Turns out he wanted to watch the show "Super Why."
He loves the TV these days and constantly wants to watch shows. I do my best to keep him entertained with activities and outings but it's hard to not give in when he screams and screams "Peeps! Peeps! Peeps!" (Wonder Pets) at me for what seems like ages. When he gets his way he becomes a couch zombie... look at this sack of potatoes :)

Don't worry grandmas out there. I am not letting Calum's brain turn to mush. We stay plenty busy around these parts. Calum has learned how to make amazing messes!

He's also perfected looking cute while being naughty. He thought he was being so helpful peeling this onion, and was pretty proud of himself that he rigged up this step stool to look for crackers.

Calum has gotten wilder, maybe he's just excited for Christmas, or maybe it's all the roughhousing with dad :) He thinks its funny to throw himself around, flail, and will even jump up and land straight on his bum. As a result of his wild man side he's become slightly accident prone. Calum bonked his face at A&W the other day and after a few sips of root beer was magically cured! I don't think all that sugar will help his wild side though :)

Calum helped me put together this snowman picture frame thing. He LOVED using the hammer and was so mad that I wouldn't let him do it by himself.

We got to spend the weekend up at Copper Mountain with some friends at an amazing town home that was literally like 50 feet from the ski lift. We had so much fun. Kevin got his hands on a $30 ski pass and was able to get out for the first time this season. Calum and I hung out with our friends, played in the snow and drank hot chocolate. Calum was bummed he couldn't ski while we were there.

But he was a good sport and settled for attempting to make a snowman with his girlfriends :)

I'm pretty sure this is the first time Calum has really played in the snow. He liked it up until he decided that he didn't want to wear gloves. He took them off and shoved his hands in the snow and he didn't love it as much after that. Yes those are pink pants!

We also went to check out the nativity and visit dad at the temple. It was pretty stinking cold but was still a fun outing.

I'm sure next week will be just as eventful. "Knee Veer Rattle Mow Mend" :)
